Lionel Richie (69), gave his fans a revelation in an interview that sho’l did shock us: In his late 60’s, he’s all for having a baby! But the thing that may have been a shock (or maybe not) to his thirty-something year old PYT (for our young old schoolers, that’s short for ‘Pretty Young Thing’…google MJ) girlfriend, Lisa Parigi, are his views on marrying her.

Lisa and Lionel have been dating for four years now and despite their age difference, he seems very compatible with the Black/Chinese model/interior designer. She loves him, he loves her and although she makes him feel like he’s “dancing on the ceiling” when they’re together, when it comes to marrying her, or anyone else for that matter, Lionel Richie says:

RICHIE: “KIDS AREN’T THE PROBLEM, EX WIVES ARE”

In his interview with The Mirror, Lionel Richie said this about marrying his tender-roni boo thang:

“I’m willing to become a father again. I might have just let a secret slip there, but so be it – Lisa and I are cool with the idea of children. Marriage, on the other hand, is a very different issue, it’s a bad idea for men…

“I’ve been there twice and it was very expensive for me. I’ve no idea to go there a third time – women have killed it for me. Kids aren’t the problem – ex-wives are. That’s why I won’t marry again, but I’m happy to commit in other ways.”

Smart move for Richie, because his last divorce went down in history as one of the most expensive celebrity divorces EVER. Lionel Richie is worth about $200 million and has sold over 100 million records. However, it looks like his current girlfriend, Lisa, won’t be saying “Hello” to his “We Are The World” checks anytime soon…

WHAT DOES RICHIE’S GIRLFRIEND THINK ABOUT HIS NO MARRY PLAN?

Lisa claims that she isn’t bothered one bit about her man not wanted to wife her up:

Via Mirror: Speaking at Lionel’s Still exhibition with photographer photographer Alan Silfen [Lisa Parigi] revealed: “Lionel has been there twice and it was definitely a tough for him. I don’t need a ring to validate my relationship with him. What we already have is enough. So many people need marriage to validate a relationship, but I’m not one of them. Lionel doesn’t owe me anything.”

Lisa added that she loved joining Lionel touring the world with his music. She said: “Some girlfriends would get bored traveling the world, staying in hotels. But Lionel and I always take the same candles, pillows and flowers so that we always feel at home wherever we go. That’s the secret to feeling based.”

HIS VIEW ON KIDS WAS DIFFERENT NOT LONG AGO

In February 2016, just months prior to revealing that he would like to have kids with Lisa, Lionel Richie was singing a whole ‘notha tune. He was asked about having more kids after Rolling Stones rockstar, Ronnie Wood (68), revealed he was expecting twins with his 38 year old wife:

via The Mirror: “Of course, Ronnie Wood can have children he’s a Rolling Stone, he can defy the laws of gravity. It would probably kill me. But I really can’t see myself having any more children. I have enough. I’ve turned a corner.”

Welp, Lionel Richie changed his mind about kids, so maybe there is hope for Lisa- he may have a change of heart about putting a ring on it after all. We shall see.

His dad is Lionel Richie and Lionel’s son is Miles Richie! Ain’t that something?!! Miles is one of the two children that Lionel has with his ex-wife, Diane Alexander. Lionel also has his oldest daughter, Nicole Richie, from his previous marriage to his ex, Brenda. Speaking of Brenda Richie, that reminds us that Miles was actually born into some controversial beginnings.

His dad and his mom married just two weeks after Lionel and Brenda divorced. At the time many people thought that was way too soon to re-marry, but Lionel followed his heart moved forward with their wedding. Adding to the drama behind their relationship, was the heated incident that went down between Diane, Brenda and Lionel back in the day while Lionel and Brenda were still married.

Fast forward several years to after that incident and Diane’s and Lionel’s divorce ended up being one of the most expensive divorces in U.S. history– it wasn’t the most expensive, but it was up there…waaaay up there.

Fast forward a fews years beyond that and here we are, Lionel’s and Diane’s son, Miles Brockman Richie, is 21 years old and looks nothing like the innocent lil’ dude embracing his Mommy in this throwback pic…times have changed and he’s evolved into his own.

Miles is now somewhat like a blend of Chris Brown; a rock guitarist, Slash, of the group, Guns N’ Roses; and he has a thing for posting Instagram pics of himself that look like ads for Chippendales dancers, LOL.

Miles and his dad couldn’t be more opposite- Lionel is a balladeer with a clean cut image; his son is a tatted up rock n’ roller/hip hopper type who appreciates taking his fair share of cigarette breaks throughout the day; and while Lionel was always the good guy type, his son appears to be like the modern day, bad boy version of Bobby Brown during his “My Prerogative” era…and that’s not a diss at all, just an outside observation.

Miles takes great care of himself and one thing is for certain- dude dances to his own drum now and he obviously loves making visits to the tattoo shop to get inked up. The coolest part of it all is that Miles and his father, Lionel are really close, no matter how different they actually are.

Now here’s where it also gets interesting, in 2014 Miles got the initials of a Kardashian sister tattooed on his hand…not sure why though. He hangs out with Kim K.’s younger sis,’ Kylie Jenner, a lot and when video surfaced on the internet of Miles and Kylie inside of a tattoo shop.

Kylie tattooed her initials on him, many were wondering if a Lionel Richie’s son was dating Caitlyn (Bruce) Jenner’s daughter! It isn’t clear if they are/were dating, but their legendary parents sure make for an interesting backstory. It probably wouldn’t be a good move for Miles though, because based on what typically happens to the brothas who date a Kardashian sister, it’s probably in his best interest to keep this ‘Kylie relationship’ on the friendship level…just saying.

We’re not sure what Miles does for a living, or if he is in college or not, but given on the amount of tats he has, it’s safe to assume that he won’t be sending his resume’ in for a stock broker job on Wall Street, or some other corporate gig. Miles seems to live a cool, carefree, rock star lifestyle, so only time will tell if he will be following in his Pop’s musical footsteps.

This happened after Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Diane Alexander divorced in 2004, and it’s so incredible that we just had to revisit this again, because a lot of people probably don’t know. It’s hard to believe that Lionel has to pay anyone so many millions, especially since he was married and divorced before and that cost him a fortune. How could he possibly make that same mistake twice? Not really sure, but it seems like he did it again, unfortunately. Who knows how and why? But one thing’s for sure: He believes in love and I guess we can’t fault the brotha for that.
