According to reports, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department had prepared an expanded firefighter crew already on standby, along with trucks and a fire aircraft, ready to take down the blaze if/when it approached MJ’s former stompin’ grounds. As the flames neared Neverland Ranch, the brave firefighters sprang into action, determined to protect the historic estate.

Captain Scott Safechuck, spokesman for the fire department, confirmed that the fire had reached the massive property. Thankfully, no major damage was inflicted, and there were no reports of injuries among the crew battling the flames at Neverland.

Part of the credit for the successful rescue goes to the current owner of Neverland Ranch– billionaire businessman Ron Burkle. Having purchased the property for $22 million in 2020, Burkle had taken extensive measures for wildfire mitigation, which apparently proved instrumental in safeguarding the estate.

The significance of Neverland Ranch extends beyond its historical value. It’s set to be featured as a backdrop in the upcoming MJ biopic, titled “Michael.” The movie stars Jaafar, MJ’s 27-year-old nephew, and promises to bring the iconic story of the King of Music to life.

While the immediate threat may have been contained, sadly, the Lake Fire is far from extinguished. Captain Safechuck cautions that the fire is currently only 16% contained, and lingering hot spots can still wreak havoc, undoing the progress made by the diligent crews. It is crucial for people to stay out of the area for the foreseeable future to ensure the safety of both residents and firefighters.

The firefighters’ efforts not only saved a piece of music history, but also preserved the memories and legacy of Michael Jackson. Additionally, Katherine’s legal bills were covered by the estate, and she received $800,000 for renovations to her Calabasas mansion. The executors have emphasized their supposed role in generating substantial revenues and enhancing Michael Jackson’s image and legacy.

It is worth noting that in 2020, Michael’s daughter, Paris Jackson, received $300,000 to cover construction-related costs for her Hollywood home. This further highlights the financial intricacies the estate has been managing since the untimely demise of the King of Pop.

The financial report reveals that the estate had $656 million in property at the start of the reporting period, with $34 million in income generated and a total value of $760 million at the end. Over $35 million was disbursed during the same year.

In case you haven’t heard, L.A. Reid released a memoir titled, “Sing to Me: My Story of Making Music, Finding Magic, and Searching for Who’s Next,”  a few years ago. In it, explained how he and his production partner, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, got caught up in a longstanding battle between Jermaine and Michael Jackson that many of us never knew knew about.

L.A. Reid said that while he and Babyface were producing an album for Jermaine Jackson (who was signed to their record label, LaFace Records, at that time), they’d suddenly received a call from Michael. MJ asked them if they would be interested in meeting with him to discuss working together on some new music. L.A. and Babyface agreed, but decided not to tell Jermaine until after they saw where the convo’ with MJ would lead to.

After the three of them met up, L.A. and Babyface decided to begin working with Michael three weeks later.

What Happened Next Was What They Totally Weren’t Expecting

Jermaine found out about L.A. and Babyface’s plans to work with his brother and to say he was livid is an understatement. According to L.A. Reid, Jermaine immediately demanded to be released from their label. L.A. and Babyface didn’t want Jermaine to leave, but they also didn’t want to NOT work with Michael Jackson- the greatest entertainer of all time.

Since they were in a pickle, they went back to MJ and told him that his brother was pissed. Then something else happened that shocked them.  L.A. said Michael gave them the most cold-hearted response to ever, regarding his big bro’:

‘“He’ll get over it,” [Michael said].

‘That’s not really the problem,’ I said. ‘The problem was that he wants off the label now.’

“Did he sign a contract?” asked Michael.

‘Yes,’ I said.

“Then he’ll have to live with it because those are the rules,” Michael said and walked out.

That Michael Jackson was one shrewd man. He was not wrong, but you didn’t expect that from Peter Pan. You expect a little compassion or something. No. Cold as ice.’

Jermaine Dissed The Hell Outta Michael In The Worst Way

Then Came Jermaine’s DISS RECORD About His Brother…
L.A. says things got really messy when Jermaine told him and Babyface this:

“I want to make a song about my brother. I want to talk about how he’s treated me through the years, like how every time I find producers like you guys, he takes my producers. He doesn’t care about his family or anybody but himself.”

L.A. and ‘Face were surprised that two brothers of soul music royalty, were about beef on the radio, like they were on a hip hop mixtape.

Nonetheless, they still allowed Jermaine’s creative expression flow, no matter how much they disagreed with his diss record request- and produced the track, “Word to the Badd!,” which was aired on radio stations nationwide.

Michael was pissed off with all three of the men. So, he called up L.A. to give him a few choice words:

“ ‘You have to stop this,’ he said. ‘You’re the head of the label. You have to kill this. This isn’t good.’ ”

L.A. said MJ and Jermaine met up at their Mom’s house to talk it out, but that two days later, he got two very different phone calls. Jermaine called L.A. and said the song is gonna stay on the radio; MJ called and said ‘You’ve gotta put a stop to this.’

They were right back where they’d started, but L.A. said this is what happened next:

“The record disappeared off the air, as if it had never been there in the first place. I don’t know what Michael did. I don’t know if Michael did anything, but it went away in a flash.”

But why did Prince continuously reject the opportunity to work with the King of Music on his hit song “Bad”? The answer is both intriguing and revealing.

While the 1980s seemed destined to be colored purple with Prince’s rise to fame, he couldn’t bring himself to compromise his credibility by joining forces with Jackson on a track that he perceived as having a “cheesy narrative.”

Quincy Jones, a mutual connection between the two artists, attempted to bring them together for “Bad,” but Prince refused. He was well aware of the song’s future success, but ultimately dismissed it, stating, “You don’t need me on this, it’s going to be a number one anyway”:

“We invited [Prince] out to Michael’s house to sing on ‘Bad’, and he was very intelligent about it,” Quincy Jones explained in a prior interview. “Prince was always competing with Michael. So I told Michael, ‘you sit there and Prince sits there, so it won’t look like we’re ganging up on him to do the record’. It was a beautiful meeting, a funny meeting, and [Prince] said ‘you don’t need me on this, it’s going to be a number one anyway’ – which it was.”

A direct quote from Prince sheds light on his perspective, as he shared with comedian Chris Rock, “That Wesley Snipes character [in Michael Jackson’s “Bad” video]? That would have been me. Now you run that video in your mind.” Clearly, Prince objected to the opening line of the song, “your butt is mine,” and questioned who would sing it to whom. This fundamental disagreement created a bit of a hurdle:

“The first line of that song is ‘your butt is mine,’ Prince explained to Chris. “Now I’m saying, ‘Who’s gonna sing that to whom? Cuz you sure ain’t singing it to me, and I sure ain’t singing it to you.’ So right there, we got a problem,” he continued.

The rivalry between Prince and Michael Jackson was never personal; it was purely a professional competition. Both artists were driven by their creative ambitions and constantly sought to outdo each other. In the end, “Bad” went on to sell 35 million records, solidifying Jackson’s international success, while Prince maintained his artistic integrity.

Fonda said her and Jackson’s unusual escapade took place during the early ’80s. The beloved actress disclosed that she had peeped Jackson in his birthday suit. Yep, you read that right! The year was 1987 and then video model, Tatiana Thumbtzen, was about to become a household face after Michael Jackson personally chose her to be the love interest in his video, “The Way You Make Me Feel.” Little did anyone know, she would end up falling in love with him and then things took a turn for the worst…

THEY FLIRTED, BUT…

Tatiana speaks on a scene from MJ’s music video: “As I stood and turned to my right, I looked out to see Michael. He approached me we stared deeply into one another’s eyes. I felt as though he could see my sadness and could hear my heart.He placed his arms around me and mine around him. I remember him stroking my back up and down as to say, ”I care for you too.” You can see this in the video. I felt it was all happening too quickly.

BUT THINGS TURNED SOUR…

TATIANA EXPLAINS WHAT SHE DID TO GET FIRED FROM THE BAD TOUR

Later on, while performing as a dancer on MJ’s ‘Bad Tour,’ Tatiana said MJ told his crew members never to talk to her outside of work, which could also be perceived as ‘Don’t even think about trying to get with her, or else.’ But she never got alone time with him and wanted to finally get a sample of the man she loved. So she boldly made her move on MJ on stage one night during the tour and kissed him in front of the massive audience…in return, she said Michael grabbed her butt and kissed her back:

“When I stepped on-stage…I approached Michael, my heart was fluttering. For a few brief seconds, I thought about whether or not I should follow through on the kiss. […] As I stepped up to him and put my arms around his collar, he looked deep into my eyes, almost as though he was challenging me. Then he did this sexy little thing where he bit his bottom lip. I placed my arm around his waist, and I landed a kiss right on his smacker! […] His left hand on my rear. […] I nearly fell off the stage because of the adrenaline rush in my body,” detailed Tatiana.

Later that night Tatiana said that MJ’s right hand man (and Marlon Brando’s son), Miko Brando, cursed her out in front of everybody:

“He yelled…’You fu**ing b**ch! Who the f**k do you think you are? I cannot believe you f***ing took advantage of him like that in front of all those people.’ […] I had never, been so humiliated and embarrassed in my entire life,” Tatiana wrote.

Afterwards she was eventually indirectly fired and sadly, Tatiana eventually contemplated killing herself>>>

AFTER GETTING FIRED, TATIANA SUFFERED EXTREME DEPRESSION

Tatiana wrote that she was severely depressed and wanted to die after learning she was replaced by another dancer for the ‘Bad Tour’ and that she would not be seeing MJ again:

“I went through a great battle with depression. I cried often and extremely hard. Then to top it off, I was bombarded with questions “about why someone else was doing my part?“ People asked me , ”Why aren’t you out there?” ”Why did Michael replace you with her?” All kind of comments came my way, and it hurt so BAD. It hurt too much to be questioned about it as often as I was. It got to where I hated leaving my house. I felt as though I did not want to live,” says Tatiana.

She also claimed that MJ’s mom, Katherine, loved her and told her MJ had feelings for her, but that she thought his management team was blocking it because she believed they feared that if Michael fell in love with Tatiana, she “could have more value and credibility” with him than they did.
