Sad news to report concerning the Redding family. We’ve learned that Otis Redding’s grandson was killed last weekend, and is being laid to rest today. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office in Macon, Georgia has updated the details on the murder and how all of this transpired.

We’ll get straight to the point with this one…Otis Redding has a son, Dexter Redding, and Dexter can sing too. In fact they’re so similar, it’s like you’re watching the late great Otis all over again. You know the old school saying “he spit that kid out?” Well it applies in Dexter’s case.
Tell us if you see the similarities between Otis and his son…

Now of course NO ONE can do it like Otis did it…not even his son Dexter, but I’m pretty sure he would probably agree with us on that. Check out Otis Redding and the Barkays’ last performance which they recorded the day before their tragic deaths from a plane crash…

Otis will always be one of the greatest performers to have ever graced music. May he and the Barkay’s legacy continue to live on.

Hold Up! James Brown Shot At WHO Back In The Day?!!

We know this sounds crazy, but back in the day, James Brown allegedly shot up an Old School juke joint in Macon, Georgia and he turned that lil’ spot into the wild, wild west for about 5 to 10 minutes straight!

Who was his intended target you ask? None other than the legendary Joe Tex. You might remember his hit “Ain’t Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman).”

Apparently Joe made James MAD at a show one night and according to many reports, Mr. Brown pulled out his shotguns (yep, he had more than one shotgun) and let the shots ring out! According to eyewitness accounts, this is how ‘The Godfather of Soul’ turned the night into a “shoot ’em up bang bang” Western…(turn the page for the details)…
