R. Kelly’s Chicago recording studio that was featured on the Lifetime Network documentary Surviving R. Kelly has since been was hit with a slew of fines reaching $66,000 and 66 code violations. During one point in the documentary, the parents of Azriel Clary one of Kelly’s alleged victims showed up at the property to try and rescue their daughter.

According to Chicago authorities, Robert did not have permits to build a sauna, steam room or bar inside the studio, but a judge rejected the city’s motion to shut down the building. Instead, he was ordered to remove personal items and only use the space during normal business hours.

“It looks like people are living there, and that’s not good,” said Cook County judge Patrice Ball-Reed after viewing photos taken during the city’s buildings inspection of Kelly’s space at 219 N. Justine last week, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. “Someone is living there.”

What was a recording studio allegedly became a residential unit by R. Kelly TMZ obtained images of the recording studio that R. Kelly has been since evicted. The photos were taken by Chicago officials when they raided the building on suspicion the unit may be used as a permanent residence.

Massage Table, Racks of Clothing?

The images show items that you wouldn’t normally find in a pace to record music, such items as a massage table, racks a clothing and a fully loaded storage room filled as if it was someones home storage.

Fans have been dumbfounded by the photos

A commenter on TMZ says:

Looks like it was converted cheaply into a house, with homemade walls made outa tarps to make bedrooms. Not many photos, no recording stuff either.
