This kid grew up and made a lot of noise in the late 80’s to mid 90’s eras of R&B. He helped to contribute to what was then the new style of R&B, as it phased into the New Jack Swing era. And here are two more hints: (1) Nope he’s not Teddy Riley and (2) this singer didn’t do his job alone. Let’s see who gets this right…find out who he is below…

Aside from being at the forefront of that R&B movement, he’s also responsible for creating many multi-platinum selling songs, some of which the public didn’t realize he actual created. We’ll explain that in a minute.

What could have given the answer away for some of y’all, is if you caught our previous article on Steve, where we mentioned that he has produced and/or written hits for many artists throughout the years, including including Chris Brown, Jordin Sparks, Faith Evans, Charlie Wilson, Ciara, and more.

This time around, we have one more Old School fun fact we wanna share bout Steve. Wait ’til you see who his best friend is! He works with him on his current gig these days and he’s a VERY popular R&B legend that the ladies are still going crazy over today and who currently has millions talking about him…

RALPH TRESVANT & STEVE ARE BEST FRIENDS

Now who woulda thought this?!! Steve attended New Edition’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony in 2017, where he revealed, in an interview at one of N.E.’s celebrations later that evening, that he and Ralph Tresvant a.k.a. “Rizz” were best friends and have been like brothers for many years.

Remember we mentioned that they now work together? They both have radio shows on Bass of Boston, a popular station in Boston, MA, Ralph’s hometown. Ralph kicked off his show, ‘Inside The Ride With Ralph Tresvant,’ in Sept. 2016. Steve partnered with his homegirl/singer Michel’le, in November 2016 to bring the people their show, ‘The Heart of R&B.’

And there ya’ have it ILOSM fam’…we learn something new ’round these parts everyday.
