Struggle and pain is real. We’ve all been there on some level or another. My mom tried to check out when I was 15.”

The former professional wrestler-turned-actor remembered that he and his parents (his father, Black-Canadian ex WWF pro-wrestler, Rocky Johnson; and Polynesian mother, Ata Johnson) left a restaurant–they drove one car, while he was in another trailing them. Johnson could tell that his mom and dad continued a prior argument in the car, as he watched them swerve all over the road. That’s when his father pulled over and Ata got out of the car. She walked right into oncoming traffic on Nashville’s Interstate 65. Johnson literally had to save her life.

“Big rigs and cars swerving outta the way not to hit her,” Johnson continued. “I grabbed her and pulled her back on the gravel shoulder of the road. What’s crazy about that suicide attempt is to this day, she has no recollection of it whatsoever. Probably best she doesn’t.”

The scene on Ballers conjured up the unpleasant memories, but it also served as a reminder that we have to check on our loved ones. We have to make sure that we don’t miss signs of pain and struggle. Johnson was lucky that he was able to save his mother that day. The situation could have taken a tragic turn.

“Sh*ts of a scene to shoot – didn’t like it – but it did reminder that we always gotta do our best to really pay attention when people are in pain,” Johnson said. “Help ’em thru it, get ’em talkin’ about the struggle and remind ’em that they’re not alone. We got lucky that day when I was 15 and that ain’t always the case.”

Today, his parents couldn’t be ore grateful that his mother made it through.

As we previously reported, Tyrese let The Rock have it on social media on Saturday (9-9-17). Apparently the brotha is pissed that The Rock has reportedly taken an offer to star in a Universal Pictures spin-off of The Fast & Furious franchise. The alleged spin-off film has long been rumored to star The Rock as his Fast character, former agent “Luke Hobbs,” and his Fast co-star, Jason Statham, who plays “Deckard Shaw.” That explains why Tyrese was creepin’ up into The Rock’s Instagram comments to get at him after he said dude ignored his text messages:

As of Sunday (9-10-17), Tyrese decided to hit back at Rock even harder…I guess he’s still not replying to Tyrese’s Text messages. Therefore, Tyrese posted a message on Instagram, taking jabs at The Rock stating that dud isn’t humble enough about his many blessings.

“When you see the bullsh*t with @TheRock playing out in front of you and you can’t say anything cause they don’t want you to win the battles and lose the war – reckless? Who me? Nah…….. Tyrese also took shots at Rock for being the 2nd highest paid actor of on Forbes’ 2017 list (Rock earned $65 million in 2017 alone), but donating less than he did to hurricane Harvey survivors than (Rock donated $25K), even though he earns more than Tyrese:

I’ve been in and out of the hospital 5 times dealing with health issues and I still sent 50k to houston to help in anyway I can cause it’s about being selfless……… I went as far as I could go to help the cause I hope they do right by those funds and get it to the people……. You’re on the Forbes list is that all you’re donating? Oh ok…….. God bless”

The Rock still has not publicly responded to Tyrese. But he did manage to send a message about how to successfully play the game of life/entertainment, etc., while also promoting the latest episode of Ballers:

Both of those cats are big names in entertainment and in the social media world. They have a lot of influence over young people who look up to them. It’s understandable that sometimes grown folks argue every now and then, but hopefully they’ll be able to squash their beef soon.

In case y’all haven’t heard by now, Tyrese (“Roman Pearce” in Fast & Furious) and The Rock have apparently been having some serious tension behind the scenes for months now. That tension came to surface in the public’s eye after widespread talk of their co-star, Vin Diesel (who plays “Dominic Toretto”), being a trouble-maker on set. The Rock reportedly singled out Vin Diesel and Tyrese in a social media rant some months ago over their lack of discipline. To be specific, Rock used the phrases “candy a$$es” and “chicken sh*t” when referring to the co-stars he had an issue with:
