The newly reunited Xscape members- Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, LaTocha Scott, and Tamika Scott- were at their former boss, Jermaine Dupri’s office the other day. Why is that a big deal for Xscape fans? Because it was just in May (2017) that they had a serious problem with Kandi’s ex boo-thang, Dupri (if y’all don’t know about that, we’ll feel you in in a minute) over their conflicting upcoming biopics.

Remember when Xscape announced their upcoming TV biopic with reality show producer, Mona Scott, and took jabs at TV One over their’s? If not, this is it:

‘We are excited to join forces with Mona Scott-Young and Monami Entertainment to bring the real Xscape story to the world. This partnership will allow us to tell our story about our lives the way we lived it. It’s our truth about the rise, the fall, and the return of Xscape. We feel the recent announcement of an unauthorized biopic on our lives is disrespectful and disappointing. We are not, in any way, participating in that project and it will never ‘represent’ our true story.’

And of course many of you may recall when TV One announced their upcoming Xscape biopic, which Jermaine Dupri was later revealed to be involved with. Here was their recent announcement as well:

‘This original film is based on the story on of 90s R&B quartet Xscape, whose story of their rise to fame and group implosion was told on an episode of TV One’s award-winning docu-series, Unsung. Comprised of sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, and classmates Kandi Burruss and Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, the R&B quartet formed a sisterhood as strong as their sound, recording the #1 hits “Just Kickin’ It,” “Understanding” and “Who Can I Run To?” Since their breakup in 1998, attempts to reunite the group have failed with lingering bitterness and deep seeded anger playing out on public forums.’

Fast forward to today, and all four Xscape members- LaTocha, Tamika, Tiny, and a seemingly somewhat annoyed Kandi- were sitting in Jermaine’s office, as he filmed the quartet for his social media followers. Apparently, he was happy to have them there, but Kandi looked like she’d rather be someplace else, and on second thought, so did Tiny. Throughout the seconds-long clip, Jermaine seemed enthusiastic though.

We’re not sure if Jermaine’s enthusiasm means they’ve come to a common ground regarding those double biopics, or if Jermaine Dupri was just happy to see his former artists (and boo) all in the same room together again without fighting. It’s a toss up on that one folks.

Kandi’s & Jermaine’s Past ‘Relations’

Anyways, back to Kandi and Jermaine’s past: She was once his artist. She and Jermaine hooked up during the height of Xscape’s success. That caused tension with one of the members, Tamika Scott, who blasted Kandi on the radio a few years ago over it. Kandi demanded an apology, Tamika ultimately gave her one for wrongly blaming her for the group’s breakup and lying on her by falsely claiming she’d messed around with Jermaine’s father as well. The rest is history and 18 years later, here they are…bada-bang-bada-boom!

Now back to their music: I don’t know ’bout y’all, but I’m looking forward to that new Xscape album…and that biopic…it seems they’ve got a LOT of stories to tell.

Word on the Old School curb is that Real Housewives of Atlanta execs are considering inking a deal with Kandi’s group member, Tomeka “Tiny” Harris. According to RadarOnline, there are new reports that the show wants to add Tiny to the cast. Check out what was reported below:

Via RO: Execs are also seeking a fresh face to replace Parks on the show, the source added, and have considered T.I.’s estranged wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris. […] “Now that she and T.I. are done, they think she would make a good addition to the cast,” the insider revealed.

If such a deal does go through, RHOA would actually be perfect timing for Tiny, because she and T.I.’s reality show, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, is in it’s last season. In addition to that, those extra RHOA checks wouldn’t hurt neither, considering Tiny’s newly single status and one-parent household, which will probably be official real soon, given their pending divorce…

And of course we can’t forget about the drama that’ll more than likely blow up in front of the cameras,  as T.I. and Tiny both try to adapt to seeing each other out and about with their new boo-thangs on their arms. We already saw what happened when T.I. caught Floyd Mayweather in that burger joint a few years ago…and lately, Tiny’s been going at it with T.I.’s alleged sidepiece all over social media. So have your popcorn ready just in case ILOSM fam.’ But just like ‘Ms. Benita’ in In Living Color, ‘I ain’t the one to gossip, so y’all ain’t heard this from me.’ Peace…

Their dinner date started off with T.I. confronting Tiny about suddenly buying a separate home and moving out, supposedly without warning. That’s when Tiny spilled a helluva secret, revealing that T.I. had sexed up her employee and that’s why she split:

T.I.: “You left and got a house somewhere else.”

Tiny: “Because you started cheating! Yes, sir…” […] I ain’t intertwining my soul with no-fu*^ing-body. It’s totally different from what you’re doing.”

Tiny: “For those who don’t understand, Tip had some infidelities with a girl who I hired and that girl is one of the reasons why I got my own house.”

That brings us to this current beef that just went down with Tiny and T.I.’s reported mistress, Bernice Burgos a.k.a. the popular Instagram model and former Drake ‘associate.’

Many of you may recall when we recently informed y’all about the indirect shots Tiny tok at Bernice on Instagram. She called her a “passed around b—-“…

Tiny: “I ain’t losing no sleep over no pass around b*tch. Bless him and her too.”

Bernice clapped back with a video response for her own and we thought the online display of dislike the two ladies have for each other was over and that they’d once and for all gotten things off their chest. Welp, we were WRONG!

Tiny’s Bombshell & IG Feud With Alleged Mistress

Tiny’s pending divorce and her prior Instagram response gave the impression that it was a done dada for T.I. and Tiny’s marriage. But after reading a NEW Instagram feud Tiny just had directly with Bernice for all the world to see, apparently their marriage may be coming to an end, but their relationship- with an emphasis on ‘relations’- is not. See what we mean below…

Tiny: “Funny…@realberniceburgos that Man U speaking of was laid up with his wife last night. So quit being petty u cause clearly u getting lied too [sic] if u thinking anything different. Hope you didn’t take him serious! Now keep sanging my sh*t! U know u slick a fan anyway.”

This is getting way too ugly and being that Tiny has a bunch of young ones she’s raising with T.i., we sincerely hope that this is not affecting their children too badly. They’ve been having to watch their parents publicly divorce, throw subliminal and direct allegations out there about each other, fight others (*coughs* T.I. and Floyd Mayweather) over their suspicions of cheating, and now T.I.’s alleged mistress is going at it with his wife/mother of his kids on Instagram! This needs to stop…and soon…like yesterday soon.

It ain’t easy going through a painful divorce, but going through it publicly- especially when husband and wife are still sleeping together- has got to be the worst. Wishing the Harris fam’ the best.

Xscape singers/reality TV stars, Kandi Burruss and Tomeka ‘Tiny’ Harris, may not have wanted ‘no scrubs’ when they wrote the 1999 TLC hit, but they most certainly want their song credit…and their checks.

“No Scrubs” Is Still Paying Off For Them

The ladies have just gotten some great news by way of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) the other day- they’ve officially been added to the songwriting credits for top selling pop artist, Ed Sheeran’s new #1 single, “Shape of You.” His song has been heating up the Billboard charts at number one for weeks now, but now he has to spread that money around just a tad bit more with Kandi, Tiny, and their fellow “No Scrubs” songwriter,“She’kspere” Briggs.

You see, what had happened was that as Ed’s song became hot, many fans began to point out the similarities between the production and some of the melodies of “Shape of You” versus “No Scrubs.” The fans kept at it for weeks, complaining online about how Ed and his creative team had jacked TLC’s song without giving Kandi and Tiny credit for it on his album. Many fans even went as far as to post “No Scrubs” vs. “Shape Of You” mashups online to get their point across…

Well, social media is a powerful tool as we all know, and to yet again prove just how powerful it is, check out what happened next…

ASCAP Gives Them Songwriting Credit On Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You”

The fans’ persistent online outcry eventually found it’s way to the eyes and ears of the folks over at ASCAP (a major music licensing corporation that’s responsible for paying music creators performance royalties). ASCAP ultimately concluded that the fans have a point and Ed Sheeran’s song is a little too similar to “No Scrubs.” So ASCAP has now officially added Kandi, Tiny, and  Kevin Briggs to the song credit’s listing for Sheeran’s “Shape of You.”

In other words, ‘No Scrubs” has turned out to be the 1999 gift that keeps on giving for Kandi, Tiny and Briggs, because they’re about to get some additional revenue that wasn’t there before. Whenever Ed Sheeran’s #1 song gets played at anytime in the United States- either on radio, television, internet performances and usage, or movies- which for right now, the “No Scrubs” writing trio will get paid a percentage of the performance royalties Ed’s “Shape Of You” earns.

Not sure how Ed Sheeran and his team feel about this, but Kandi made it loud and clear how she feels about it…

And there you have it family- record sales might be dying in today’s internet era, but when it comes to collecting performance royalties from a hit record, like Sheeran’s “Shape Of You,” there is still some light financially for the songwriters. Sheeran’s currently burning up the radio, television, live concert venues, and more with that song. Everywhere he plays, coins gotta get paid and therefore Kandy and Tiny have just picked up some extra pocketbook money thanks to ASCAP.
