ILOSM fam,’ ever had one of those moments that made you go, ‘I know you did NOT just test me!’, only to realize that yes, you were just in fact ‘tested’? That’s what appears to have happened to comedic actor, Tracy Morgan (50), early Tuesday (June 4, 2019), when his $2 MILLION Bugatti supercar ended up in a car crash, just 15 minutes after he drove it off the car lot.

According to TMZ, everything was all good when Tracy was video’d after coppin’ the Bugatti Veyron at Manhattan Motorcars in NYC. He was spotted pulling out of the dealership proud of the vehicle his hard earned money has earned him. Little did he know, 15 minutes later he’d be sideswiped by a Honda CR-V in the middle of a heavily trafficked NYC street, as seen in the photos below…

Soon as the crash went down, it didn’t take long for an audience to gather around on the busy street. Everybody and their mommas were trying to see what in the world happened to that fly $2M car. It became immediately apparent to everyone around, that Tracy Morgan was inside, because the actor hopped out, with a clearly pissed off facial expression as he dialed up someone presumably for assistance with his car.

A short while later, Tracy Morgan tweeted a ‘thank you’ message to his fans:

And his Bugatti is right back where it was just 15 minutes prior to the wreck- at the dealership where the staff is assessing the damage and preparing a presumably very hefty estimate.

Thankfully, this accident was nowhere in comparison to the tragic accident Tracy Morgan was involved in nearly 5 years ago on June 7, 2014. That’s when a Walmart truck crashed into his tour minibus, killing his longtime friend/comedian, James McNair (62). Truly heartbreaking indeed.

Comedian/actor, Tracey Morgan recently sat down to talk to Oprah for her Soul Sunday Show and he revealed two things that were almost hard to believe. He detailed what it was like for him while he was still in the hospital fighting for his life following the 2014 car crash that took his best friend, James McNair’s, life.

One thing that was really foul was that Tracy said his wife, Megan, was not informed of his near fatal car crash until 6 hours later when she heard about it through the media and that the police involved with the crash investigation contacted the media first, instead of her. Tracey said that made his wife EXTREMELY angry, understandably so:

“The police called the media before they called her,” he said. “I got hit at 12.59am. She did not know I was in the hospital in a coma til 6 o’clock in the morning. She thought she was gonna get there and I was gonna have a broken leg, making the nurses laugh… no; they said ‘Mrs Morgan, are you prepared?’ he recalled.
“Then they took her up to ICU and she flipped.”

He said that when he asked afterwards how he looked when she first seen him, she replied “dead.”

Tracy also revealed that while he was still in his 8 week coma, he believes he took a trip to an afterlife, where he vividly remembers a conversation he had with his deceased father, who passed away from the AIDS virus in 1987 at the age of 39 due to drug needle use. Watch the video below:

“I was talking to my dad. He had this green thing on… I just remembering him saying ‘I’m not ready for you son.’ And I started crying so hard. And my dad was like ‘I’m not ready for you son.'”

After comedian/actor, Tracy Morgan, was severely injured in the fatal car crash – involving a Walmart 18 wheeler, which claimed the life of his best friend, Jimmy Mack, in June of 2014- many wondered if he’d live, and is so, they definitely doubted that he’d be able to return to the style of funny he once delivered to us as “Hustle Man” on the “Martin” sitcom. Well fortunately, Tracy is back and better than ever, but that didn’t come without a price for him- severe pain, brain damage, an 8 day coma, blind for 6 days, cracked ribs, many broken bones in his face, having to learn how to walk and talk again, and almost killing himself when he was bed-ridden and recovering from his injuries.

Tracy sat down with Rolling Stone and took us through a wide array of emotions that range from his suicidal thoughts, to laughter, to his anger about comedic actor, Damon Wayans telling the world how much money Tracy received in his confidential settlement with Walmart.

At first, doctors weren’t sure he’d live, much less get back to any semblance of his old self. “We really kind of thought he wasn’t going to make it,” says wife, Megan Wollover. “We were praying and being hopeful, but we didn’t know what to say to the public.” The prognosis quickly improved. But then, Wollover adds, “everyone was more concerned with the brain injury – is he gonna be the same?”

Losing what [Tracy Morgan] calls “my funny” meant losing everything – he was having nightmares about that prospect around the time 30 Rock ended, 18 months before the accident.

In the wake of Morgan’s injuries, it felt like his worst fears were coming true. “I said, ‘If my funny ever went away, I’d die. And I thought I was going to die for a long time. My thoughts – I was in a very dark place. I was sitting right here, contemplating suicide. I couldn’t walk.”

Morgan insisted on leaving the hospital early and continuing his rehabilitation at home. “You go to hospitals to fucking die,” he says. “If I got to go, I wanted to be in the house with my family.” For the first couple of weeks, he stayed in the second-floor bedroom, unable to navigate the stairs. “My wife heard all the screaming…She changed all the bedsheets when I sh*t on myself. She knows.”

SNL producer/creator, Lorne Michaels says Morgan was extremely emotional after the accident:

He made tearful phone calls to friends. “He was very, very emotional,” says Michaels. “He wanted to tell all the people he loved that he loved them.”

Morgan struggled with feelings of guilt, reminding himself that everyone in the car was there because of him. “Emotionally, it’s hard for me to deal with,” he says. “I asked everybody to be there that night. I have to live with that. But I had to forgive myself. I know Jimmy would want it like that.”

Tracy revealed that there was one song that he used to get him over his guilt and suicidal thoughts…this really surprised us:

[Morgan] cues up a song he’d play to soothe himself in his dark moments – which happens to be the…THEME FROM TAXI – and begins to weep. “I remember the days,” he murmurs. “I remember them days. Jesus.”

Morgan has zero desire to recover his memories of that night. “The past is nothing but a forest filled with horrors,” he says, gravely.
