R. Kelly’s “close friend” is probably letting out a sighing of relief at this time after the news she’s just received regarding her involvement in the “Bump N’ Grind” crooner’s unpaid rent case.

Remember when R. Kelly was jailed in Cook County, IL on 10 counts of sexual abuse back in February? His bail was set at $1 million. Since he’d revealed that he is dead broke, as a result of the many allegations against him and subsequent decreased amount of gigs, most fans assumed R. Kelly would be sitting in jail for quite sometime. However, after spending he only spent a total of three nights in the joint, before a then ‘mystery woman’ posted his $100,000 bond.

It was later revealed that the women was Valencia Love (47), a daycare owner owner, who says she’s just a ‘friend’ of R. Kelly.

Why R. Kelly’s “Friend” Got Caught Up In His Hefty Rent Case
Unfortunately for Valencia Love, the $100K bond she posted got her caught in the $173,000 unpaid rent judgement that Kelly’s landlord won against him recently.

Why so? Because when Valencia bailed R. Kelly outta jail, she reportedly stated “It was his own money. I just posted bail for him.”

That apparently raised red flags for the landlord, who then questioned her relationship with R. Kelly, as well as whether or not she’s been stashing money for him all along and has more of his money stashed for a rainy day. Therefore, the judge allowed the landlord to subpoena Valencia, to make answer those questions in the lawsuit.
