1 Member Of Xscape Has Already Decided To Walk Away From Recording New Music With Group

Posted On : November 13, 2017

Over the summer, Xscape shocked fans when they reunited for the 2017 Essence Festival. At the time, it looked like the reunion was the start of something beautiful because the ladies also announced their plans for a tour, a new reality show, a biopic, and possibly an album. But unfortunately, their reunion was shortlived because it didn’t take long for them to start butting heads.

Based on the promo clip for their new reality show Still Kickin’ It, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and Kandi Burruss haven’t been seeing eye-to-eye on many of the group’s business decisions. But nevertheless, they’ve forged on and it looks like they’re making moves minus one singer.

Doing ‘Other Things’:

On Sunday, Nov. 12, the ladies appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen. They confirmed they’re back in the studio working on new music, but one of them revealed she won’t be participating this time. If you’ve seen the Still Kickin’ It trailer, you can probably guess which member wants out – Kandi Burruss. When asked why she chose not to participate, she simply said, “Well, I’m going to be doing some other things.” Of course, Kandi was faced with more questions because of her vague response. So, she explained what she meant when she said “doing other things.” “I mean, I’m going to do Broadway and some other things and they’re going to be working on music.”

But Are They Still Amicable?:

Despite Kandi elaborating on her plans, it still raised speculation about whether or not the ladies are havin’ problems. She admitted they do bump heads every now and but insisted disagreements aren’t uncommon when it comes to differences in opinion. “We [having to] rehash or whatever; whenever certain subjects come up of course, we bump heads on some stuff.”

At this point, it’s still unclear how things will turn out for the ladies but fans are hoping for the best for Xscape.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
