Legendary comedian/actor, Martin Lawrence, couldn’t be more proud of his daughter, Amara Lawrence. Amara is the youngest of he and his ex-wife/former Hollywood Exes reality star, Shamicka Lawrence.

The Lawrence’s were only married for two years, but were together for a total of 17 years, finally divorcing and going their separate ways in 2012. However, any issues they may have had during the time of their divorce, obviously is water under the bridge now and thankfully so.

Based on the photo and video Shamicka posted online of their beautiful 14 year old mini-me, Amara, doing her thing at her 8th grade graduation, it’s all good among the Lawrence fam.’

First, Shamicka shared an emotional Instagram video of their daughter singing her heart out at her graduation. Check it out below…

Then she posted a cool family photo of their now high schooler holding her graduation papers…

Martin typically isn’t one to post much info about his private life on social media, so for now, we’ll take what we can get with these two snapshots Shamicka provided into the Martin family life.

With three daughters, Martin has his hands full. He also has his 21 year old daughter, Jasmine Lawrence, with his first wife, Patricia Southall; and he and Shamicka have another daughter, 16 year old Iyanna Lawrence.

On a side note, Martin may not share much about his life with the public, but he did take a minute to get his shine on with this recent b-ball footage he posted on Instagram…

It’s cool to see ol’ Marty-Mar in a different light, but it sure would be nice to get another “You So Crazy” standup or Martin series outta him one day in the near future too. Okay I just digressed, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. At any rate, congratulations to Amara Lawrence, keep doing your thing Queen!

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
