In case you missed yesterday’s (2-2-16) premiere of the new series about O.J. Simpson’s 1995 murder trial, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, you missed a pretty interesting depiction of the behind the scenes story about the key players and the events surrounding the trial.

After the airing of the show and the depictions of O.J. (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.) and his attorneys, Johnnie Cochran (played by Courtney B. Vance), Robert Kardashian (David Schwimmer) and Robert Shapiro (John Travolta), and also the prosecuting attorneys, Marcia Clark (Sarah Paulson) and Christopher Darden (Sterling K. Brown), O.J. Simpson revealed, through his attorney, how he feels about his portrayal in the series.

Here is what was reported via MailOnline:

O.J. Simpson is not happy with the new television series focusing on his 1995 murder trial in Los Angeles because of the way it portrays one of his lawyers.

Simpson’s attorney, Malcolm LaVergne, said that the former football great has no problems with how he’s shown in The People v. O.J. Simpson – the new FX drama set to premiere Tuesday night on FX – but believes his defense attorney Johnnie Cochran is depicted unfairly.

LaVergne added that Simpson admired Cochran, who is portrayed by the actor Courtney B. Vance in the series.

Now according to a fellow of inmate who is currently jailed in the same Nevada prison as O.J.  (Lovelock Correctional Center),  there is a whole ‘nother side to this story about how O.J. allegedly feels:

A prison friend of Simpson recently revealed to DailyMail.com that he was furious about the new show, produced by Ryan Murphy, because he feels that he had been ‘ignored.’

The friend added; ‘He says they have created this soap-opera based on what other people are saying and what has been falsely reported in the papers, but nobody had the b***s to talk to him.’

Since the prison is housed in does not air the FX Network, O.J. Simpson is basing his opinion of the show off of the commercials and ads he’s seen. I wonder if he would have felt the same way, had he actually gotten to view the actual episode in it’s entirety.
