Girls Trip actress/hella hilarious comedian, Tiffany Haddish, has some problems on her hands, by way of her ex-husband, William Stewart. In case y’all haven’t heard by now, Tiffany recently dropped a new autobiographical book on the market, titled The Last Black Unicorn. In her book, she detailed the many horrific traumas she’s endured ever since her childhood and well into her adult life. It’s a very good read by the way.

Conflicting Claims Between Haddish & Ex-Husband

Anywho, one of those traumas was in 2010, according to what Haddish wrote. She described a violent incident between her and her then husband, which she says took place at their hotel, when they were staying there for one of Tiffany’s comedic gigs. Tiffany said William beat her, choked her, and caused her to have a miscarriage at some point.

She even filed a police report at the time of the incident:

“We were in Montreal, Canada, when he choked me in the stairway of the hotel,” wrote Haddish about her ex-husband in her reported police filing. “I ran away from him. I ran because he was trying to make me stay in the room. But I wanted to stay in the lobby and talk to my fellow comedians.”

According to Rolling Out: 

Haddish also described another incident that same month in which Stewart “choked” her and she tried to “make him stop” by punching him. “He ran after me and took me down to the ground,” she claimed. ” I got free and then he got me again. I could not get out or yell for help because he was sitting on me.”

After Tiffany’s book hit the shelves, William went on the counter-attack to dispute her claims. In a recent V-103 radio interview, William pretty much said Tiffany is lying through her teeth:

William: “I married Tiffany, her issues, and not the Hollywood lifestyle. I have never beat or hit or called a woman a ‘MF or B’ while having a disagreement ever in my life. I never caused a miscarriage, I have documents to prove this.”

He also claimed that Tiffany gave him a heads up about the book prior to it’s release:

“Tiffany advised me about a month ago about the book and she told me that I would be furious.”

Ex-Husband’s Lawsuit Details

Now it’s being reported that not only is Tiffany’s ex-hubby speaking publicly about the situation, he’s about try to get some of that new money Ms. Haddish is now stacking through her acting and comedic career:

Via RO- News reports have revealed that Stewart has hired Michael T. Sterling, the same lawyer representing Russell Simmons, to sue Haddish for defamation.
