Tina & Beyonce Are Rich, But See How They Still Kept It Hood In Houston!

Posted On : September 25, 2016

Beyonce and her mother, Tina Lawson, showed the world just how hood and real they really are on Saturday (8-24) when they pulled up in a hood of their hometown, Houston, TX with no worries. They made a quick beauty supply store run, just before they headed to New Orleans, La., (which is only a hop, skip, and a jump away from Houston) for Beyonce’s “Formation Tour” performance.

They stopped in their old neighborhood at a beauty supply store, as Beyonce’ filmed her Momma shopping for four satin hair bonnets for them to keep their hairdo’s on point later that night.

Satin caps!!! I wish iwould have had one last night my hair is a hot mess especially in this Houston humidity. You don’t know nothing bout that Kaleb😀 you guys are amazing! yes me and Beyonce went to our old hood beauty supply ” Solid Gold” beauty supply

Now, for those of you who aren’t familiar with satin bonnets, they’re a must-have beauty staple for many Black women who want to make sure that there hairstyle tomorrow, looks just as good as it did today, and their men know not to EVER question them about why they’re wearing it to bed…not unless their trying to sleep on the couch for a few days, LOL…

Okay now back to Bey’s and momma Tina’s beauty store run- the employees there were surprised that they just randomly strolled up in the place like they were average Annies, but other than that, they had a pretty peaceful trip…no one seemed to bother them. After they exited, Beyonce snapped a pic of Tina outside of the beauty store holding up her H-town hand sign and Tina posted it to her Instagram page with the caption:

“It went down in H- Town my town ! Hanging at the Solid gold beauty supply❤️ my baby took this photo ❤️She done good😀”

Beyonce’ posed for her pic in front of a wall that had Houston spray painted across it.

Then later that night Bey did her thing and killed it in her gold bodysuit singing about “Lemonade” and everything else at the New Orleans Superdome! The place was packed, the crowd was hyped and Momma Tina was getting her dance on all night!

Beyonce is working hella hard on this Formation Tour though, just the night before her N.O. concert, she performed in Houston and killed it yet again for the people of her city:

And this has nothing to do with the topic of this article, but just because we always love a good old school love story, check out Tina and her new husband/actor, Richard Lawson, singing Al Green’s “Love and Happiness”…

And the silliness continues!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, Beyonce, Tina Lawson, and family seem like humble, grateful people who will never forget where they come from and that’s a beautiful thing.
