2 Blessed 2 Be Stressed: IRS Hits Jermaine Dupri Hard As He Parties Like It’s 1999
So So Def mogul, Jermaine Dupri a.k.a. Janet Jackson’s ex (and her rumored undercover boo-thang…again), has just been hit hard by the IRS. Instead of folding though, Jermaine is out here partying like ain’t got no worries.
According to The Jasmine Brand, ‘Uncle Sam’ wants $578.6K from Dupri and he wants his paper NOW…or else he’s going to take it from him:
Via TJB- On May 29th, Dupri was hit with a state tax lien by the Georgia Department of Revenue. The lien accuses him of refusing to pay up on taxes for 2012, 2014 and 2015. The Department claims Dupri owes a total of $578,638 in taxes. The original amount owed was only $278,903 but grew with interest ($165k), penalties ($78k) and other collection fees ($55k) over the years.The Department warns the producer they will begin to seize his property and assets if he doesn’t pay up ASAP.
There’s one thing many folks know not to mess with- the Higher Power and the IRS. When it comes to our man, Jermaine, though, he’s not about to let his mega tax bill, nor a warning from ‘Uncle Sam,’ steal his joy…apparently. That is evident with one glance at Jermaine’s social media pages, which show the brotha toastin’ it up like Ne-Yo, at high profiled parties and such. He’s been livin’ the good life, poppin’ bottles and partying with his homie, Usher, as well…

Now, I’m pretty sure Jermaine Dupri knows that because he owes the IRS money, they’re probably keeping close tabs on his spending habits. That’s also probably why he has no problem sharing his partying ways with the public, because it helps to further show that the money he spent on the fancy shindigs are more than likely gonna be filed as his ‘business expense’ come tax time. That pretty much means he won’t be required to pay much (if any) taxes for those parties because they were business related, and not just frivolous spending for personal reasons.

At any rate, Dupri may wanna handle up on that tax situation as soon as he can, before the IRS comes charging through his home, taking whatever they want at random to cover that bill.
And besides. his rumored bae…uh, pardon me, I meant to say his “friend,” Janet Jackson (LOL), just ended a relationship with a billionaire, Wissam Al Mana. So she probably doesn’t want any man who’s currently going through a financial issue at this time, just sayin.’
