After Accusing R.Kelly Of Sleeping With His Wife, Deputy Preps To Face Him In Court
ILOSM fam,’ many of you may recall when a Mississippi deputy sheriff sued R. Kelly for breaking up his marriage. The cheating allegations and legal dispute all began in 2017, but fast forward to today and the deputy officer is proving that he is NOT done with the “I Believe I Can Fly” crooner just yet.
According to reports, the brokenhearted sheriff is prepping to depose Kellz in a court of law very soon. His mission is to get what he believes is justice for his wife’s alleged marital transgressions.
Why Is This Sheriff Going THIS Far
At first glance, it’s easy to look at this case and be like, ‘Why in the HELL is this dude going after Kelly, when it was his wife who reportedly stepped out, on her own accord, to get busy with Kellz?’ Those were my thoughts as well, but lo and behold, in the state of Mississippi, it’s actually legal for a scorned spouse to take legal actions against the person who allegedly cheated with their partner. Sounds odd, but it’s really a thing. So, without further ado ladies and gentlemen, peep what the latest moves are in this real life “Trapped in the Closet” saga R. Kelly seems to be trapped in:
Via The Blast– Kenny Bryant intends to depose Kelly in Mississippi in the near future. Bryant says the deposition will go down at his lawyer’s office and will be “continuing day to day until completed.” […]
Kelly filed court documents saying he does know Childress, but denies he slept with her and caused Bryant’s marriage to crumble. Kelly says he doesn’t owe Bryant a dime and wants to see the entire case thrown out. The case is ongoing.
Sheriff’s Original Lawsuit Against Kelly
In case you missed our original report regarding the sheriff’s claims against his wife and Kelly, they included not only cheating allegations, but STD claims as well. In addition to that the sheriff is blaming Kellz for pretty much destroying is life. Here’s what we reported in April 2017:
The Affair
It has been reported that Hinds County, Mississippi deputy, Kenny Bryant, filed the complaint on April 21, 2017. He’s accusing the singer of having an affair with his wife, Asia Childress. The woman reportedly admitted to sleeping with the Kellz prior to their wedding back in July of 2012. Yep, you read that right, this supposedly happened five years ago, but apparently the deputy is just getting around to filing that paperwork *shrugs*…moving on…
While most fans would probably argue that the lawsuit is a bit frivolous since so much time has passed, there’s more. The two reportedly reconnected in October of that year, just months after the wedding…but that’s not all. Bryant, who is suing for “emotional, psychological and financial loss,” also claims his wife contracted chlamydia from the Grammy Award-winning singer. But wait…there’s more below…
Manipulation?
Bryant also claims his wife convinced him to quit his job in Mississippi so they could relocate to Atlanta, GA, presumably for career advancement. Now, he believes his wife made the move so she could continue her affair with Kelly. He also believes she reportedly had been traveling to nearby states to attend the singer’s concerts and to have personal rendezvous with him afterwards. But, are the allegations true? At this point, the allegations have yet to be confirmed, but MSNewsNow reports Bryant included text message conversations between Childress and Kelly as documentation of the alleged affair.
Not sure why it took 5 years for the sheriff to file his initial claims against Kelly, but nonetheless, we’ll sit back and see how this whole thing plays out.
