After 54 Years Of Marriage, Camille Cosby Reportedly Preppin’ To Throw In The Towel
With everything goin’ on in the Cosby world, it’s probably safe to say life hasn’t been a cakewalk for Bill and Camille Cosby. The famous couple has been through hell and back with all the drama surrounding Bill’s bedroom antics and legal downfall which is why the latest reports come as no surprise to many people. For those who haven’t heard, it’s rumored that Camille Cosby is prepping to throw in the towel after 54 years of marriage. Yes, you read that right. According to Radar Online, she’s reportedly preparing to file for divorce.
Divorce Rumors:
Of course, celebrity divorce rumors come a dime a dozen. So, what makes this situation any different? Well, according to the publication the 74-year-old is said to have moved out of the Pennsylvania mansion she’s shared with Bill for many years. Although he’s reportedly “pleading with her to return,” insiders claim she’s finally had enough. An insider has shared details about their seemingly estranged marriage insisting they live separate lives and have done so for quite some time.
“He literally is home alone,” an insider told the publication. “She even took the staff with her!”
“They’ve been fighting and arguing since the verdict,” dished our insider. “She wanted a divorce, but he begged her to stay!”
Another insider also claims Camille just wants peace, which is why she’s trying to finally distance herself from her past with Bill. “Camille wants to leave his scandal behind her. She has no interest in seeing Bill,” said a source. “She wants to reside quietly in Shelburne — and doesn’t want his reputation affecting the life she’s building for herself!”
Now, y’all know there have been times where Camille has been MIA for Bill’s court hearings. So, could that have also been an indicator that her patience was runnin’ thin? That’s still unclear but it would definitely make a lot of sense. Rumors definitely come and go but could there be some truth to Camille finally leaving Bill? Apparently, Bill Cosby’s representative is telling a different story.
Damage Control?:
Amid the latest Cosby media firestorm, several news outlets have reached out to representatives for both Bill and Camille Cosby. It looks like the famed comedian/actor’s rep has spoken out first. In a statement to People magazine, Bill’s rep Andrew Wyatt insists the rumors are just that – rumors. He even went so far as to say Bill and Camille Cosby’s marriage is still rock-solid despite all of the drama.
“The accusations they have made in their tabloid are absolutely false,” said Wyatt. “Mrs. and Mr. Cosby are not getting divorced and she’s with him in the Philadelphia home as we speak.” He continued, “No issues in the marriage, no issues with the children. These children are grown women in their 40s and 50s. These are not kids. These are not little kids running away from their father.”
On yesterday, June 13, Wyatt also spoke with Radar Online where he voiced his frustrations about the rumors. “It’s amazing how people can make things up,” added Wyatt. Despite the damage control statements, it still seems like there’s somethin’ in the buttermilk that ain’t clean. To most social media users, things between Bill and Camille have seemed questionable for quite some time and his recent trial has only raised more speculation about what goes on behind doors at the Cosby residence. But, for now, it looks like all may still be well. Only time will truly tell.
