The good news for Anthony, is that his wife, Alvina, has just dropped her divorce petition and word on the Old School curb is that their working on their marriage again:

Via E! News: E! News has learned that Anthony Anderson’s wife Alvina Stewart has asked a Los Angeles judge to dismiss her divorce petition. The two appear to have reconciled since Alvina first filed for divorce from the actor back in September 2015.

Originally, in 2015 when Alvina dropped her bombshell in divorce court, we were not only surprised, but saddened. Why? Because they were high school sweethearts and prior to the divorce filing, it seemed like Anthony Anderson was doing something many Hollywood folks cannot- he was setting the example that it is possible to stay madly in love and attracted to the love of your life, who was down with you before fame and fortune, when you were piss poor and couldn’t even get a hair, let alone your foot, through Hollywood’s door.

Far too often we see certain celebs become “stars” and then completely screw up their relationship with the woman (or man) who was their backbone throughout their struggle. Although it may not always be their fault, but typically those kinda celebs either leave their mate for some other person who only gave them attention after their success; or the celeb’ causes they’re mate to leave them because they didn’t control the urges/temptations that came along with their newfound fame. However…

We wanna be clear that we, here at ILOSM, DO NOT know what caused Alvina to file for divorce from Anthony Anderson, other than what she stated in her divorce docs, which was that they had “irreconcilable differences” at that time. But clearly, that’s obviously behind them now and we’re very happy for the Anderson’s and their two children, Kyra and Nathan.

So in closing, we’ll end this with Blackstreet’s “Don’t Leave Me,” which could have very well been Anthony’s perfect theme song while his wife had those divorce papers filed and pending until now, but fortunately it seems that Anthony was eventually able to convince Alvina to NOT leave him.
