Known for speaking her mind and openly speaking about her troubled past, Cardi B. is trending yet again on Twitter and this time, fans are not amused.

After a recent confession about robbing and drugging men during her days as a stripper, Cardi sparked outrage on social media and her past lifestyle kicked off the #SurvivingCardiB hashtag on Twitter.

The hashtag #SurvivingCardiB is a play on the #SurvivingRKelly series hashtag and the public is taking sexual assault seriously for both genders and it seems that Twitter isn’t letting Cardi B. off the hook easily.

Cardi Responds

It wasn’t long before Cardi stepped on the platform to tweet her thoughts and respond to the backlash she was facing; “I never claim to be a angel I always been a street b**** Ya be glorifying this street rappers that talk and do that grimmey street s*** but they can’t stand a street b****!”

The rapper continued to tweet her thoughts toward the backlash and even acknowledged the double standards that exist in the industry as well as the hypocrisy toward her life story and upbringing. She claims to be taking a hiatus from the social media platform but left the public with a message:

Telling Her Own Story

Not giving the public any chances to put their own spin on her life any further, the rapper also reveals that she’s trying to write a book, “You wanna know why y’all don’t gotta tell my story? Because I’m gonna write a book about my life. I’ve been through a lot of s***”. The rapper hasn’t provided any further details on a book deal or when she’ll begin writing it but she is taking a break from social media platforms.
