TMZ reports that Mystikal took to the stage during Funk Fest after he was brought out by Hip Hop pioneer Doug E. Fresh.

Mystikal got a special introduction from Doug E. Fresh … and then launched into his throwback hits, performing “Move B*tch” and “Shake Ya A**” in front of thousands of screaming fans.

It’s a triumphant return to the spotlight for Mystikal … Funk Fest is a huge two-day festival, with headlining performances from T.I., Erykah Badu, Jeezy and Plies.

When news of Mystikal’s Funk Fest appearance made its rounds he received a nod of support from singer Jamie Foxx who, according to The Blast, retold an epic story of a performance Mystikal did at his house a few years ago.

Foxx was leaving Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills on Sunday night and asked about Mystikal’s performance at Funk Fest in Orlando over the weekend.

The “Robin Hood” star was definitely excited, and told a story about Mystikal performing at his house years ago during one of his infamous music nights.

Foxx said R&B legend Jon B. was playing piano while Mystikal rapped to a version of “Shake Ya Ass,” and it was definitely a performance to remember.

Sounds like a fun night. And if Mystikal’s legal troubles are gone for good perhaps they’ll have an opportunity to play again very soon.
