Mo’Nique is not here for the BS and slander. It doesn’t look like she’ll stop ranting until she gets her point across. Mo’Nique is determined to make sure the real facts behind her Netflix issues are made public.  For those who missed her recent rant, the comedian/actress blasted the streaming network for offering her only $500,000 for a comedy special despite all she’s achieved in her career. However, as we previously reported, several outlets claimed that the amount Mo’Nique was offered was far more than she disclosed – $3 million to be exact. Now, according to Bossip, Monique is offering proof that the $3 million claims are false and she’s also outing one person for “Hollywood bullying.”

$500K And Nothing More:

On Wednesday, January 31, Mo’Nique took to Instagram with a screenshot of an email between her and Netflix executives. Despite the $3 million claims, Mo’Nique’s email shows a breakdown of the costs the network was willing to spend on her Original Comedy Special. Like she said, she was only offered $500,000 in addition to $310,000 to cover production costs. Therefore, although the total would have been $810,000, Mo’Nique really would have ended up with only $500,000, according to her reveal. Check out Mo’Nique’s post:

Hollywood Bullying:

When Mo’Nique appeared on V103, she and her husband, Sidney Hicks, called out journalist, Jawn Murray, for reportedly publishing false information. The Original Queens of Comedy star claims that Murray starting the rumors about the $3 million offer:

“When you have a journalist by the name of Jawn Murray and he’s putting out information that’s not true,” said Mo’Nique. “Not only is it not true, I’ve said to Jawn Murray please prove what you’re saying. Now he’s saying ‘Mo’Nique was offered $3 million by Netflix but she had to audition.’ If that’s not bullying then I don’t know what is because ‘I won’t face you, but I’ll say it and walk away from it.’”

They continued:

“Mo’Nique said to Jawn Murray, ‘If you can prove that I got a $3 million offer then I will get out of the business, I will retire,’” added her husband, Sidney. “I will quit the business. What I will say to you [Jawn] is, if you’re real with your’s, will you quit the business when I provide the emails indicating what Netflix came back and said? Mo’Nique never got a response from him.”

Sidney, then added further support of his wife, as Mo’Nique elaborated on why she feels she’s being bullied:

“People will ridicule the technique of the self-defense but they’re not focusing on the fact that self-defense needed to be applied in the first place,” said Sidney. Monique continued her rant by posing a question to fans. “We’re talking about bullying in Hollywood. For the brothers and the sisters saying, ‘What’s the deal? Why are we doing this?’ The word in all caps is BULLYING,” said Mo’Nique. “We’ve been bullied for so long, that we normalize it.”

In wake of Mo’Nique’s latest rant, Jawn Murray has taken to Twitter with a response. He has acknowledged that he has declined to offer further comments about the situation regarding Mo’Nique:

So, it looks like Mo’Nique may actually have proved her point this time. However, she’s still getting a lot of flack from many for her Netflix boycott request.
