ILOSM family, we’ll start this article off with a collective ‘What the…?!!’ along with a facial expression that reads, ‘Can’t we all just get along? We gotta do better.’ With that said, let’s dig into what went down between comedian, Katt Williams, an Atlanta radio host, and her husband. In case you haven’t heard, Katt recently stirred up ruckus and mayhem all up n’ down social media…and apparently, one devoted husband got stirred up a tad bit too much. In fact, Katt feared for his life as a result.

What Had Happened Was…

On Saturday (Sept. 15, 2018) night we learned that having V103 radio host, Wanda Smith; her husband, LaMorris Sellers; and Katt Williams within the same proximity of each other is a VERY BAD idea. Why? Because after Katt roasted the hell outta Wanda live on-air on Friday (after she threw shade at him), her hubby was more than pissed off with the comedic legend. LaMorris’ anger didn’t surface until the following night, when he ran into- or rather, chased after- Katt outside Atlanta Comedy Theater in Norcross, GA.

According to WBS2TV-Atlanta, Katt Williams told police LaMorris pointed a gun at his head. LaMorris denied the claims and said the gun simply fell out of his pocket, while he was chasing Katt Williams outside the comedy theater. Now, police are trying to determine who to believe.

Reports say the incident started when Katt Williams reportedly walked up to her outside the theater and said, “I told you f**kin’ with me will make you go viral!”

Katt was referring to their prior tense on-air exchange. Although their intense interview had everybody crackin’ up on social media, Wanda and LaMorris Sellers were in no laughing mood with Katt. So after the comedian’s slick remark to Wanda, her husband apparently flipped out and ended up chasing after Katt on foot. Oh…did we mention that Sellers had a gun in his possession during their ‘Wild, Wild, West’ foot chase? Here’s what else was reported:

Via WSB2TV-Atlanta- The police report said Williams told the cop that Sellers pointed a gun to his face. “Katt and his security guard fled [to] the Food Depot next door where the officer had his initial contact with them,” the report said.

Sellers told the cops that Williams “had a verbal altercation with Wanda. He said that Katt indicated that he wanted to fight. According to LaMorris, he approached Katt and chased him into Food Depot where he left him and returned to the Atlanta Comedy Theater. When asked if he had a gun on him, he said, ‘Yes.’ LaMorris stated that as he was chasing Katt, his gun fell from his waistband and he bent to retrieve it however, he said he never pointed it at anyone.”

“Mister Sellers said he didn’t take out his handgun, he didn’t point it at anybody, but he did admit chasing Mister Williams in the parking lot,” Col. Michelle Pihera with the Gwinnett Police Department said.

Video from the Food Depot showed Sellers chasing Williams but no evidence of a gun, the report said. The comedy theater management told the officer they couldn’t access the video from the club’s vantage point.

Katt Williams reportedly refused to press charges against LaMorris Sellers, but that doesn’t mean Sellers is out of the woodwork yet. Based on what officers find in Atlanta Comedy Theater’s security camera footage, they could still file charges against him, without needing Katt to comply.

Rodney King said it best: “Can’t we all just get along?”
