The downward spiral that is 50 Cent’s relationship with his eldest son, Marquise Jackson, is as equally cringeworthy, as it is entertaining to witness. It’s also a reminder of just how similar their personalities are.
As y’all already know, when it comes to anyone who 50 may consider to be his opposition — Ja Rule, the whole Murder Inc. Records crew, Starz Network…you name it — the G-Unit mogul has zero filter. Unfortunately, in recent years, his son, Marquise, has been on the receiving end of that at times. However, on the flip side, Marquise is still a chip off the old block, and has inherited his pop’s same vengeance toward his perceived opposition — 50 Cent…although Marquise does admit he wants to now talk to his father.
Welp…today (October 13, 2022) is Marquise’s 25th b-day. And maaaan…what a b-day message did his dad have for him!
First…A Quick Recap Of Their Beef
The latest daddy-son drama popped off between the two as a result of Marquise’s online actions this go ’round. A few days ago, Marquise posted a photo of himself posing with $6700 — the amount he says he received from 50 in monthly child support when he was a kid.
Marquise was responding to backlash from some fans, as a result of him stating $6700 a month was not enough child support money for his mother to take care of him as a minor.
Marquise’s photo also seemed to be a sarcastic jab toward 50, which was an apparent recreation of 50’s past social media post of himself posing with money, in response to fans clowning him at the time, for supposedly filing bankruptcy. Like we said — a chip off the old block, is Marquise.
Anywho, the latest shade-filled back n’ forth has now taken on a new twist.
Following Marquise’s child support claims, 50 then shared a throwback clip of his “Power” character killing his own son in the series.
To fans’ astonishment (though, not really) many quickly realized 50 Cent was obviously trading online blows with his very own real-life seed…in a very heartbreaking kinda way. Though, 50 may feel otherwise. But now, there’s more…
50 Cent Shadily Responds After Son Issues Olive Branch On His 25th B-Day
Marquise then did a brief interview with TMZ to reach out to his pops, in hopes of squashin’ their beef…even offering to pay his dad for a day’s worth of a sit-down with him to do so.
50 then appeared to reply back with the quickness…posting a video (shown below) mocking his son’s claims – that $6700 was not enough in child support. The video shows 50 in a tub, watching TV, when his son’s child support claims appear on the screen. 50 then turns the TV off, while simultaneously goin’ off about his son and his son’s mother…pointing out that Marquise is now 25 years old, and thus questioning ‘why he’s still bringing up child support.’ The “In Da Club” hitmaker also revealed that Marquise once received $25K per month in child support, but the courts lowered it years ago…
50’s video also includes G-Unit artists, Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, knocking at 50’s door and jokingly begging for the exact amount of $6700. Ya’ know…to put that extra stank on it, just in case 50 Cent’s online jabs towards his son weren’t enough.
It didn’t end there. After 50’s latest video went viral, Marquise reposted it with a shade-filled caption of his own. Check it out below:

Sources close to 50 Cent reportedly told TMZ that if Marquise really wanted to put their beef to bed, he would have simply called him in private…instead of re-sparking it on social media. But, just like Marquise confessed– he’s just like his pops when it comes to his opps. 🤷🏾♂️
They say time heals all wounds. Hopefully, that ‘healing’ will find it’s way to 50 Cent and his seed sooner than later. Or, maybe Iyanla Vanzant might need to come outta retirement to fix this one.
Malinda Williams; Mekhi Phifer
Some of you may remember when actors, Malinda Williams (best known for Soul Food and The Wood) and Mekhi Phifer (best known for ER, Soul Food, Paid in Full, and 8 Mile), had more than just a thing going on like Billy Paul and ‘Mrs. Jones,’ they actually took it all the way- got married and had a baby- a little boy named Omikaye Phifer.
Although they went on record to let the world know their marriage was pretty rocky (details below), they happily co-parent their son, who is now a happy, healthy young man. Mekhi and Malinda married in 1999 and officially divorced in 2003. But even though their relationship didn’t last, they are now very cool with each other and successfully co-parenting Omikaye.

Malinda’s Past Cheating Allegations Against Mehki:
In 2003, Malinda did an interview with Honey Magazine to let the world know that Mekhi was having a LOT of trouble keeping his manhood in his pants when she wasn’t around, if you know what I mean…basically she said implied that he was gettin’ busy with women left and right and living the “Single Life” like Cameo during their union.

That same year, Mekhi shot back, saying that Malinda didn’t support his career and that he basically got to a point to where he couldn’t stand going home to her and all of the tension:

Years Later, Mehki Confesses To Cheating, Says He & Malinda Are Cool

Now Mekhi says he and Malinda are in a much better space, stating “we’re really good peoples now,” during his 2014 interview with The Breakfast Club. He also finally admitted to cheating on her:
Mehki: “At the time it was crazy. For a lack of a better term, you’re traveling and girls are throwing it at you and sometimes your catching it,” he confessed. “[I wasn’t cheating] the whole time but you know we were only married for less than a year.”
“There was a point where because I bought us a house and we were living on opposite sides of the house. We were technically married, but you’re going two or three days living in the house and you aren’t even talking. […] I’m talking about walking up and down the stairs past each other and you aren’t even talking.”
After Their Divorce, Mekhi Was “Relieved”
Mehki: “I was kind of relieved. I had developed this bald spot in the back of my hair because I was stressed and I didn’t even know it was stress. But once we got separated and I didn’t make it hard, I left her with the house and all of that and just left. I left with my clothes and my whip so then I was cool.”
They did the right thing obviously- when a relationship gets so bad that the woman knows she can’t trust her husband farther than she can throw him and the husband is balding from the stress, it’s probably time to call it quits…or else give a 1000% to toughen it out together and pray that the problems disappear.
Brandy Norwood
We’re grateful that Brandy Norwood is able to speak out today to give her fans an update on her current health condition, following terrifying experience.
It’s been reported that at approximately noon Tuesday (6/11/22), Brandy suffered a possible seizure at her Los Angeles home. Paramedics were called to the location and rushed her to the hospital, where she’s been ever since. Brandy’s parents were at the hospital with her and have reportedly remained by her side, as she pushes to get back to 100% health.

Thankfully, Brandy has now released a statement to her fans via social media. The 43-year-old songstress says her recent health emergency was due to dehydration…although it’s still isn’t clear whether or not dehydration caused her to have an actual seizure. Here’s what else Brandy said in her statement:
“To my beloved fam, friends, and starz thank you for sending love and light my way. I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon.”
Days Earlier, Ray J, Had Scare Of His Own..Fans Were Worried

Brandy’s health scare comes just days after her brother/reality TV star, Ray J, sparked major concern after posting several Instagram posts alluding that he was contemplating taking his life, on October 7, 2022.
In one photo Ray J appeared to be sitting high up on either a hill, or ledge…captioning it with, “SHOULD I JUST JUMP off and end it rit. Now!!! ????”. Another of his posts read, “If it wasn’t 4 my Kidz I would jump off and die tonight.”
The Norwood fam’ was pretty radio silent about Ray J’s terrifying social media posts, but Brandy did take the time to send her brother a message online, after he’d appeared to have stop posting soon after his suicidal Instagram post went viral. “Need you bro @rayj 🙏🏽” was what Brandy wrote to her brother.
Each of Ray J’s cryptic posts have since been deleted from his page. Thankfully, he says he’s okay now…and hopefully, that is true.
Fast forward to today…and now we’re wishing Brandy a speedy recovery, but also…she should take all the time she needs to get her health realigned. Brandy, best wishes to you queen.

We just so happened to come across some photos of Kadeem Hardison’s mother, former supermodel Bethann Hardison, with a young lady who looked a lot like her, and we were all like ‘Well we know she’s not her daughter, so who is she?’ After looking a little closer at the pic, we realized she is Kadeem’s and Chante’s lil’ girl, except she isn’t so ‘lil’ anymore.
See what we mean?!! Her name is Sophia Hardison and she’s a 25-year-old beautiful young lady, who looks exactly like her Daddy and her Mom!

Her parents, Chante and Kadeem, never rekindled their relationship as far as we know, but they still have a beautiful friendship, as was displayed on Chante’s reality TV show, R&B Divas, some years ago and they’re also doing a great job co-parenting.

The daughter/mommy duo seem to be so much alike. It’s a beautiful thing to see exes, Chante and Kadeem, still maintaining their closely knit friendship after so many years.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” veteran, Nene Leakes, and her family are currently going through it, following a terrifying health emergency her youngest son, Brentt, had a few days ago, and now she’s speaking out about it.
Nene took to social media to confirm that in early October, Brentt – the son she shares with her deceased husband, Gregg Leakes – suffered congestive heart failure and a stroke at just 23 years old.
Brentt suffered the heart failure and stroke while he was in Atlanta. But thankfully, he was quickly rushed to the emergency room, where medical professionals were able to save his life. However, Brentt is said to have a long road to recovery ahead. It was also reported that Brentt was hospitalized for several days, after his medical emergency, but has since gone home and is undergoing rehabilitation procedures to hopefully regain 100% of his health.
In her video message, Nene expressed her and her family’s shock of Brent suffering such serious health complications at such a young age. She also stated that Brent does not do any drugs, nor drink; and that doctors have run a plethora of tests — including HIV test — on Brent to determine what could have sparked his health emergency.
Nene says Brent is still having a difficult time speaking; and she’s asking fans to keep Brent in their thoughts and prayers at this time.
Additionally, Nene says that although her son runs an Atlanta lounge, which she refers to as Brent’s “pride and joy,” she’s and her family are looking to sell the venue. So she’s urged any potential buyers to reach out to her if they’re seriously interested in the purchase.
Meanwhile, we’ll continue to send Nene’s and Gregg’s son, Brentt Leakes, uplifting energy and love. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

A cousin of Michael Jackson (from his father, Joe Jackson’s, side) — who was a popular ex-drug kingpin/self-proclaimed ‘gangster’ — revealed some shocking information a few years ago. He claimed to have received and offer back in the day to lie on Michael in court. His name was Ron Newt and though he sadly passed away in 2019, his story continues to resonate with many MJ fans.
When Ron’s sons (MJ’s young cousins) then-pre-teen sons’ singing group, The Newtrons, were signed to Joe Jackson’s, Jackson Records. Around that same time, Michael was going through the child molestation trial, in which he was ultimately found not guilty. By that time, Newt said he knew his cousins, MJ and Joe, very well, oftentimes hangin’ out at their Hayvenhurst family home in Encino, CA. But what Ron Newt says he was once asked to do to Michael Jackson was lowdown and thankfully, he ultimately turned it down with the quickness. So I go down there…I say ‘Yeah what’s happenin?’ …I say “What I’m here for? I’m here to help Michael.” They say “Oh no, that ain’t what we want with you. We heard that your boys spent nights at the house and we wanna know if Michael tampered with ’em….just picked them up, or touched them in any kind of way. If he did, we got $200,000 for you.”
I said, ‘Huh?’ I had just got outta prison, I said ‘man I can’t do that, can’t tell no lie like that. I ain’t doing that.’ He said, “You sure? What I’mma do [is] I’mma draw a check up, a contract up and I’mma show you we fit’na give you $200,000!”

When asked what he would have done if he ever found out that Michael had touched his kids, Newt replied:
“C’mon man I’mma gangster, what you think I would’ve done?”
When asked if he once said he would have killed MJ if he would have touched his children Newt then admitted:
“If he would have touched my kids? Absolutely. But I love Michael and I know Michael didn’t do that, so he ain’t have no problem worrying about me.”
Newt also claimed that The National Enquirer found out he had taken a photo of Michael Jackson and one of his sons right after they’d gotten out of the pool one day at MJ’s house. According to Newt, the publication wanted to turn the photo into something evil, by asking if they could use that photo as ‘evidence’ that MJ had touched Newt’s kids.

This is not the first time we’ve heard about someone being offered money to frame MJ. There have been many conspiracies as to why that happened, with the most consistent one being that the big wigs in the music industry reportedly wanted to ‘silence him,’ by diminishing the major power Michael held behind the scenes in the music game.
You see, MJ outsmarted major music corporations, by ultimately gaining ownership of a huge stake in their music catalogue, which is the bread, butter, and bargaining power for any record label.

It’s been a long time coming, but Janet Jackson and the daughter of her big bro,’ Michael Jackson, have finally reunited. It’s a beautiful thing to witness, and both Paris and Janet Jackson seem happy they’ve reconnected.
In a sentimental online post, Janet shared a new photo of herself chillin’ with her niece, Paris…in Paris for Fashion Week.

Soon after the post was shared, Paris was the first one to reply, leaving a black heart emoji on Janet’s post.
Fans are excited as all get-out to see the Jackson ladies back together again, voicing their love for the two in the comments.
Now, we’re not sure exactly when, or if Janet and Paris reunited in the past…following their infamous heated argument that was captured on video in 2012. Many of y’all may remember when Auntie Janet pulled up on Paris and her brothers, Prince and Bigi (formerly Blanket) Jackson outside of their California home at that time.
Their argument was allegedly over the family’s claims (at that time), that the Jackson fam’s matriarch, Katherine Jackson, was missing for a few days…and apparently the three Jackson kids were missing as well back then. Upon their return to their home, Janet and her brother, Randy Jackson, were right there to confront Michael’s kids. At that point, Janet seemingly let her inner ‘Joe Jackson’ surface after Paris appears to have brushed her off…to which Janet responded by attempting to slap Paris’s phone out of her hand. Paris seemed shocked and then scurried inside the home.
After that video went viral, Janet and Paris reportedly had not been seen in public together ever since that 2012 incident. So, that’s why fans are rejoicing after seeing that Janet has let bygones be bygones with her niece, Paris.
On a side note, big ups to Janet for representin’ the Old School very well. During her recent Fashion Week appearance, she looked GOODT– not ‘good’…but GOODT…there’s a difference. 🙃

When many people think of legendary hip hop pioneer, LL Cool J, they’re probably thinking of him as he is now; actor, host and charismatic brotha who paved the way for so many artists with his ferocious lyrical prowess. However, many may not know that there was a time when LL’s life was completely out of control with sex and drugs.
LL Admits His Vices Included Drugs And Pornography
In his critically acclaimed biography, “I Make My Own rules”, LL shared details from his troubled childhood, which included physical abuse and criminal activity that lead right into his rap career at just sixteen years old. Garnering that kind of fame at such an early age can be overwhelming, which seems to be the case with LL. In one of the most revealing parts of the book (via MTV) LL talked about his drug addiction:
“I smoked angel dust. I smoked coke,” [LL] said. “I did a lot of things … and the only reason that I’m able to stand here right now is because I stopped doing it. I’m feeling great about that. That makes me feel good. I’m rejoicing over this. I’m rejoicing being able to share the world and tell the world I did drugs, I carried guns. I did a lot of bad things. If I didn’t tell the truth about my sex life or tell the truth about drugs, tell all that negative stuff, nobody would even be interested in this book… because it would be fluff to them.
In addition to his drug problems, LL also confessed he enjoyed numerous encounters with female groupies, as well as an unhealthy addiction to pornography. However, everything came to a crashing halt when he finally hit rock bottom.
You’re probably wondering ‘Exactly how could LL’s life spiral even more out of control after admitting to drug and sex addictions?’. According to the Jasmine Brand, during a segment on Oprah’s Next Chapter LL talked about the time he had sex with a pregnant woman. And that’s when he knew that he needed to change his lifestyle up.
Ya know….At some point, you just have to be respectful. I mean, when you think back on it…it’s a little aggressive. Lots of testosterone in that 20 year-old body. I had a Rockstar’s life early on, for many years. We all have to mature. At some point, you gotta…kinda get your mind right. We all foolish in some ways, forever. I did some things that were naughty.
LL has certainly done a complete 180 from those days into a faithful husband, actor and leader within the Hip Hop community. It just goes to show that it doesn’t matter where you start as long as you’re always willing to be better than you were before.

Another day, another beef in the hip hop game…except this time it’s not one of the millennial/gen-X era rappers of today. It’s none other than Bad Boy mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and his former Bad Boy rapper-turned-reverend, Mase. And their current tiff is so tough, that it’s apparently made Pastor Mase forget his religion for a hot minute. Let us explain…
How Their Latest Beef Started
In case you missed it, Diddy did an interview Wednesday (10/5/22) with The Breakfast Club. During the interview, he discussed Kanye West’s latest controversy, as well as his present-day beef with Mase.
According to Diddy, Mase has yet to pay him $3 million he claims the rapper owes him…and it’s all over an undelivered album:
“I did one album with Mase. ONE album. How much money do you think I owe this guy. … Mase owes me $3 million dollars. That’s facts, I got the receipts. … [He] did an album, and never delivered it.” – Diddy
Diddy alludes to Mase being somewhat of a thief who abandoned his contract with Bad Boy, only to relocate to Atlanta and become a “fake” pastor. He didn’t stop there…Diddy said Mase has been scamming folk who follow his ministry for years.
Apparently, Diddy is tired of people accusing him of being a money-hungry label owner, and has had it up to here with his rep’ being tarnished by some he’s worked with in the past. Diddy says he’s wrongly had blame placed on him for years by several of his former artists over their failed careers. And in particular, he zoned in on Mase, accusing him of conveniently pushing a “tap-out button” whenever the heat gets too hot in the kitchen regarding his music career:
“People have this thing called the tap out button. When you get to a certain point and the money is running low, you gotta run this hustle to try to find somebody to blame. I have all my receipts. We are going to do a special, a retrospective, with all the artists and we’re going to get this narrative clear.” – Diddy
In a cuss-filled video, Mase didn’t seem too ‘pastor-like’ when he hopped on Instagram to let Diddy know exactly what was on his mind following Diddy’s ‘Breakfast Club’ interview.
“Yo, how dare this ni&&a talk about he want receipts. Let’s start with your mother ni&&a. Your mother got the receipts,” Mase said.
Now, y’all already know once someone drags another person’s mom into a heated beef…it’s bad. But Mase didn’t stop there. He continued, “Everything is in your mother[‘s] name. That’s the one who got the receipts ni&&a. You need more proof ni&&a? Biggie ain’t here, so Biggie can’t give you no receipts…he dead. Craig Mack can’t give you no receipts…he dead. What are you talkin’ about? … Black Rob can’t give you receipts…he dead. And everybody else you made ’em sign paperwork so they can’t talk about what I’m talkin’ about.”
Mase continued, “I’m not signing [the paperwork] ni&&a. I’m the only one with the guts, because I ain’t need the money.”
