Most of us remember when Quantasia Sharpton, accused the “Good Kisser” singer of exposing her to an STD during an alleged sexual encounter. In her 2017 allegations, Quantasia claimed the sex-scapade went down at a Holiday Inn hotel in Atlantic City, following Usher’s concert.

At that time, many fans gave the accuser the side eye, questioning whether or not Ms. Sharpton was Usher’s “type.” Usher reportedly denied having any sexual relations with Quantasia, while she lawyered up and held steadfast on her claim that they had gotten busy on that fateful night.

Accuser’s Reported Weight Loss Surgery

Welp, fast forward to today and Quantasia is back in the spotlight for a brief moment. It’s just been reported, via The Blast, that the accuser has undergone weight loss surgery after weighing in at 454 pounds:

Pretty soon though, I guess we’ll be seeing Usher’s accuser in her transformation before-and-after photos (we’ll keep you posted ILOSM fam’).

Speaking of transformations, word on the Old School curb is that as of December 2019, Usher transformed the outcomes of all his prior pending STD lawsuits. How? By supposedly settling out of court with all of his accusers, including Quantasia. Since the details of the cases and alleged settlements have reportedly been sealed, we can’t say for certain if that is in fact true, but according to multiple sources, it is. Moving on…

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Usher has reportedly been enjoying life after officially filing for divorce from his wife, Grace Miquel. As we previously reported, Usher revealed in court docs that the two had been separated since 2017. HOW PRINCE HELPED TRAYVON’S FAMILY IN MIDST OF TRAGEDY

Rev. Al Sharpton revealed, to NYDaily News, what Prince did in 2012 after unarmed, Trayvon Martin (17), was fatally shot by George Zimmerman- the son of a Caucasian retired Supreme Court magistrate, who got off without any legal ramifications for the killing. Soon after Zimmerman brutally took Trayvon’s life, Sharpton was surprised when Prince called to tell him he wanted to help Trayvon’s family. However, the Purple Rain star wanted to remain anonymous, which is why he needed Sharpton’s help…

Al Sharpton: “I will never forget when he [Prince] called me and said he had some funds he wanted to give to Trayvon Martin’s family… Just out of the blue. Just out of the clear blue. He didn’t want anybody to know. He didn’t even want Trayvon Martin’s family to know where the funds came from.”

It seems that Trayvon Martin’s family probably didn’t find out that the donator was Prince until after Prince’s passing…wow. But wait…there’s more…

PRINCE’S EX-WIFE TELLS HOW HE HELPED EVERY INNER CITY HE PERFORMED IN

Although they amicably divorced in 2006, after 5 years of marriage, Prince’s second wife (now Eric Benet’s wife), Manuela Testolini, remained active in several of Prince’s philanthropic/humanitarian efforts. After Prince’s passing, Manuela did an interview with Rolling Stone and recalled the various ways Prince helped others. Prior to their romantic relationship, Manuela worked for Prince’s philanthropic organization, Love 4 One Another:

Testolini sought a position at Love 4 One Another because she liked how the organization operated. “They were doing projects ranging from building community gardens to helping domestic shelters. […] When Prince would visit different cities for a concert, he would have work going on to complement the places he visited.” If Prince had a Philadelphia show in the middle of winter, his organization would do a coat drive or a food drive nearby. “You can imagine calling a food bank, saying, ‘You need to come here tomorrow with lots of trucks to pick up bins and bins of food,'” she says with a laugh. “It was a very effective, quick food drive and an easy way to make an impact. It was mobilizing people who were already interested and giving them a little way to impact their community.”

Prince’s ex also explained how he’d always help families he’d see on television, that were in need…

Manuela Testolini: “He wanted to be a catalyst for other people,” she says. “He would see a family on TV that was having trouble – they didn’t have health insurance and had trouble meeting the needs of a sick child – and instead of saying, ‘Wow, that’s really sad,’ he would leave a note on my desk saying, ‘Call this TV station and find out where these people are so we can help them.’ It was ongoing.”

Today, Manuela Testolini follows in her ex-husband’s philanthropic footsteps. She’s launched TWO SCHOOLS in Africa, in honor of Prince (one of them is named after him). She said Prince always wanted to start a school of his own. After his passing, she made it finally happen in October 2016 through her organization, In A Perfect World (a philanthropic organization Prince helped her to start and created the logo for).

Incredible! Prince is a great example of what it looks like when the seeds one plants while they’re here, continue to flourish and positively affect others…even in death.

ILOSM family, as we all know- the year 2020 has been a crazy roller coaster ride thus far…and Mr. and Mrs. Smith have just added yet another peak to it.

When 27 year old R&B singer, August Alsina, recently dropped the bombshell -that Will Smith gave him “his blessing” to have a long term relationship with his wife, Jada Pinkett- Smith (48), for years- these social media streets went up in flames.

Welp, Jada has now brought herself to the “Red Table.” What fans were not expecting was for Will to be the one grilling her on her own talk show, as well as assisting her in the process of her having a ‘come to Jesus’ type confession about her affair.

At approximately the 2:00 mark of the latest “Red Table Talk” episode (video below), the Mr. and Mrs. jumped right into addressing August Alsina’s claims.

Jada stated, “About four and a half years ago…[I] started a franchise with August. … We actually became really, really good friends. It all started with him just needing some help. Me wanting to help his health, his mental state, ya’ know?”

The Smith’s revealed they’d met August when he was “really sick” and that the friendship started as a genuine need to want to assist him in his physical healing process as he recovered from an ongoing liver disease. They said this was also during a “difficult time” in their marriage and that they’d already “broke up” when August came into the picture.

Will honestly proclaimed to Jada, “I was done with your a$$” by that time. “We decided that we were going to separate for a period of time, and you go figure out how to make yourself happy, and I’ll figure out how to make myself happy,” he continued.

“At that particular time it was indefinite,” Jada chimed in.

Will also challenged Jada’s attempt to play down the seriousness of her past relationship with August, when she referred to her affair as an “entanglement.” Will replied, “Entanglement?,” to which Jada then fessed up and called it what it was, “a relationship.”

Jada continued, “I was in a lot of pain, and I was very broken. In the process of that relationship, I definitely realized that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself. Luckily enough, you and I were also going through a process of healing in a much different manner. I would definitely say that we did everything that we could to get away from each other, only to realize that wasn’t possible.”

Will also asked Jada what she was looking for during her affair, to which she responded, “I just wanted to feel good…it had been a loooong time since I’d felt good.” She says it was “a joy” to “help heal somebody,” confessing that is the result of her “codependency.”

As you’ve probably heard, during his interview with “The Breakfast Club” co-host, Angela Yee, August Alsina came clean about he and Jada. The confession was so emotional for him, that the brotha damn near was about to cry over the heartbreak he says Jada dealt him, nearly causing him to become suicidal.  He revealed that he’d finally decided to end their relationship, the day after his beloved sister passed away on December 25, 2018.

August admitted that deciding to leave Jada “butchered me” and “broke me DOWN,” but he knew he had to do it because he was tired of Jada allegedly toying with his emotions.

Jada has now admitted that it is “totally understandable” why August left her and cut ALL communication with her, after she begin rekindling flames with her hubby, Will. Although, according to both of their accounts, it kinda sounds like Jada wasn’t yet ready to cut August out of the picture. Geesh! This is a lot.

Jada seemingly took advantage of August during an extremely vulnerable time in his life. However, the fact that both she and Will were willing to publicly discuss the intricacies of not only her affair, but also their heartbreaking struggles and separation within their marriage, deserves a round of applause in my humble opinion. On the flip side, August Alsina deserves applause as well, for finally having the courage to speak his truth. He maintains that he will always love the entire Smith family, because they were once very close.

That’s true grown folks love right there. We all make mistakes and/or bad decisions at times…but we live and we learn. Moral of the story: We must all learn to live in our truths in order to free ourselves, no matter how heartbreaking that journey may be in the process to get to the other side of healing.

You know when enough is enough. And apparently, La La Anthony has reached her point. After photos surfaced of Carmelo and his “mystery girl,” she’s allegedly, officially filing for separation.

According to People, a representative for La La Anthony says she’s now exploring her “legal options” while pondering her future with NBA husband Carmelo Anthony. The rep told the source as follows:

“As La La and Carmelo have been living apart for quite some time, La La is proceeding with legal discussions as the next step in their relationship.”

As you might know, the NBA star was recently spotted with someone else.

According to Shade Room, he attempted to clear up the images. However, it didn’t matter. His wife was over it.

When it comes to social media and outspoken entertainer, Chris Brown, there’s never a dull moment. He’s recently found himself in hot water for comments he made about only wanting Black women “with nice hair” in his new song, “Need A Stack.” An online debate was immediately sparked, as many tried to understand exactly what Brown’s definition of “nice hair” was. Many who found the line problematic- due to his seemingly act of colorism- called Brown out for his insensitivity. So Brown of course clapped back, by calling his opposers ‘ugly” and “weird.” Needless to say that didn’t go over well at all, and the debate is still a hot topic on Twitter and Instagram. Well, now there’s someone coming to his aid, and that’s his mother, Joyce Hawkins. She has something to say to anyone who’s giving her son backlash over his seemingly brainwashed lyrics and his response.

Protecting Her Baby

In a post to Instagram, Hawkins appeared fed up with everyone’s anger towards her son. She decided to finally let everyone know how she felt about the situation and made it very clear she stands by him. In her post, she added this caption.

The mother of Brown’s daughter, Nia Guzman, also co-signed Hawkins’ post with a fingers-crossed emoji, which is meant to convey luck. Perhaps that was her way of saying ‘Good luck with the backlash Sis,’ because that’s exactly what came next.

Shocking news has just come in about early 2000’s hitmaker, Carl Thomas. He is currently recovering after an emergency surgery was scheduled.

Thomas is currently recovering from a surgery, performed on Monday, to remove a tumor from his salivary gland. The Jasmine Brand Reports:

Sources tells us Thomas underwent a procedure to remove a noncancerous tumor located in one of his salivary glands. He had;

“ a benign Tumor in one of [his] salivary glands and they removed it today.”
Sources also confirmed that Thomas’ ENT and Neurosurgeon preformed his surgery which was successful and if things go as planned, Thomas will be back to work in two weeks,

Thomas posted a pic to his IG, alerting everyone of the upcoming procedure.

Welp, Chris Brown has pissed a bunch of people off yet again. Though at this point it seems like he’s always angering someone…even as the dark cloud continues to form over his head, he’s still a very popular artist with tons of fans. They still rock out to his music and turn a blind eye to his bad behavior. But this may be one time when his fans have finally had enough, and they’re not letting him slide with his most recent disrespectful comments.

Everybody Hates Chris

Brown recently released his ninth studio album Indigo, a 32-track offering, featuring many guest stars to keep the party going. Unfortunately, the party ended early for many sistahs once they got to track number nine. The song, titled “Need A Stack,” starts off just fine….but then Brown gets a little nasty. And right after that, he just gets out of pocket. BET reports:

All goes well with the Lil Wayne and Joyner Lucas-assisted song, which boasts an up-tempo bassline and clubby vibes, up until Chris’s third verse. “Diggin’ it, then I’m lickin’ all on that p****, put it right there/ Only wanna f*** the black b**ches with the nice hair,” he rhymes.

Brown must have forgotten that the majority of his fan base are Black women, who have been riding with him for years. Through all of his legal troubles, Black women have been there. Unfortunately for Brown, what Black women are NOT here for, is disrespect of any kind. So, after hearing the colorism dipped line, they immediately took to Twitter to let Brown know they were not pleased.

As you know, LaBelle started out with the classic girl group, The Bluebelles, and scored their major first hit in 1963 with the song, “Down The Aisle.” They went on to gain further success as LaBelle in the 1970’s and caused major fits of funk with the N’awlins flavored tune, “Lady Marmalade.” Unfortunately, the group disbanded shortly afterwards, and their last released single, “Isn’t It A Shame,” remains one of the most touching ballads of their career.
