ILOSM family get your tissues ready because when you see what Xscape singer/RHOA star, Kandi Burruss, and her husband, Todd Tucker, just did for some families in need, you’re gonna need it. Many of us may not have heard about Kandi’s new foundation, Kandi Cares, but Kandi and Todd have just given us a beautiful introduction to it. *Scroll down for video*

On Christmas Eve, Kandi and Todd, along with several volunteers from their Kandi Cares staff, drove to the homes of 6 different families to personally deliver tons of Christmas gifts to them. According to Kandi, her foundation was only supposed to choose one family to bless this Christmas season, but she said the decision was too tough. You see, Kandi and her team were so moved by the stories of so many of the people, who’d submitted their requests, that she said they just could not choose one, so they chose six.

Kandi: “Yesterday my foundation @KandiCares made Christmas Miracles come to life with our first ever Ultimate Christmas Wish. Originally we were only going to select one family but we were so torn between all the nominations that we selected six. Families were surprised as my team of Kandi Cares Elves delivered over 300 gifts of Clothing, Shoes, Xbox’s, New Beds, Tablets, Laptops and of course lots of Toys to families that would have otherwise not had a Christmas this year. There’s no better feeling than being able to give back and to see the smiles on the kid’s faces I will cherish this day forever. The emotion of one single mother of 4, Shundrika Ingram (in the video below), captured the true essence of what Christmas is about- the spirit of people caring for their fellow citizens and doing whatever it takes to bring joy to the faces of children.

Shundrika lost her job and her home before Christmas. In the video, she explained how she was heartbroken to have to sit her children down, a few days prior to Christmas, to explain to them that she could not afford to get them Christmas gifts this year because she was out of a job. She also stated that her son, reassured her not to worry and that he and his siblings would be okay as long as they have each other and a roof over their heads. The mother broke down to tears as she told the story to Kandi and Kandi tried her hardest not to cry as well.

One thing’s for sure, Shundrika’s four children gained Christmas gifts this season, but they learned a lesson far greater than anything one can put a price tag on. That is the lesson of unconditional love, unity, character and the concept of having the power to call things into our universe without even realizing it.

We salute 12 year old Javeon for calling this beautiful Christmas blessing into his universe and ultimately putting big smiles on the faces of his mother and younger siblings.
