There’s Literally Only 1 Blockbuster Video Left In The World

The Very Last One…

Blockbuster video is nearly extinct.

According to CNN, the last location is in Bend, Oregon. “The Oregon location has been open for more than 20 years,” the source states. “We’re proud to still be open,” the manager tells CNN.

Like its competitors, Blockbuster gets new releases as always. But here’s the thing that sets them apart from modern technology. You’ve probably jumped online to watch the classics, yet they’re just not available, right?

You can go to Redbox and you can get the new titles, but they don’t have the older ones,” Harding mentions. “Netflix and Amazon don’t have everything, either.

Well, that’s not the case here. Harding says that’s actually the store’s “bread and butter.”

Likewise, it’s now a tourist attraction — according to the source. Reportedly, people travel from around the world to visit the location — trying to take in the last bit of nostalgia from the good ol’ days.

Note: However — just to be fair — some of the most depressing times were also walking into Blockbuster and finding that the movie or game you wanted was out of stock. Or even worse, looking at it in the “Return” cart, but you can’t get it because it hasn’t been in-processed yet.

But nevertheless, the Bend, Oregon location is the last of a dying breed. Do you think they’ll close like the others? Or will its tourist interest keep it functionary?
