Bobby’s Relative Now Admits Snapping $85K Whitney Bathroom Photo For Suspicious Reason

Posted On : June 1, 2018

By now, everyone has heard about the infamous photo of Whitney Houston’s drug-infested bathroom. In case you missed all the drama surrounding the photo, Kanye West faced severe backlash after purchasing the photo for a whopping $85,000. However, it gets worse. He didn’t purchase the photo for some kind of keepsake. He went a step further using it as the cover of Pusha T.’s new album Daytona. Needless to say, people are outraged but it’s a bit deeper than it seems.

The Photo Drama:

Days ago, Whitney’s nephew, Gary Michael Houston, spoke out about the photo and he argued a relatively different perspective. He wasn’t too upset with Kanye and Pusha T. and he also said fans shouldn’t be mad at the rappers for their creativity. He shed light on the real issue with the infamous 2006 photo. The person who snapped the photo and sold it to tabloids was a family member; someone his late, legendary aunt should have been able to trust. But sadly, she was betrayed and exploited by family for the sake of a dollar. Now the family member who snapped the photo is speaking out for the very first time.

Filled With Regret:

During an interview with The Blast, Tina Brown, the sister of Bobby and former sister-in-law of Whitney Houston, spoke out about the exploitative photo that continues to haunt the Houston and Brown families. She admitted that she was the person who snapped the photo. However, she claims she didn’t sell it to Kanye. “Kanye West did not purchase the picture from me or my son [Shayne Brown],” said Tina.

However, Tina did admit she was the person who sold it to the National Enquirer. She claims the photo was part of a story for the publication, but it appears Whitney’s nephew wasn’t too far off the mark since the photo was snapped and sold by a trusted family member.

Tina went on to recall the story behind the incriminating photo of Whitney Houston’s bathroom, which appeared to show drugs strewn all over the countertop. She admitted she and Whitney did drugs together, but surprisingly, Tina claims she and Whitney had mutually agreed to release the photo, which she now describes as a “united cry for her.” “During the time the picture was taken, in 2006, my sister Whitney and I were at a very low and self-destructive point in our lives, it was not only her mess, it was mine as well.” She adds, “Together, she and I decided to take the pictures in the bathroom and share with the world, the pain we were going through … it was a united cry for help.”

Bobby’s Absolutely Pissed:

The latest statements from Tina Brown follow Bobby Brown’s jaw-dropping statement about the photo. On Wednesday, May 30, Bobby turned heads when he opened up about his frustration and disapproval of the photo. He even said how he feels about Kanye West and he definitely didn’t mince words. “Why would he post that on his album cover?” the former New Edition singer, 49, told Rolling Stone. “That’s really disgusting that he would do that. That’s in really bad taste. Something should happen to Kanye. He’s already crazy. I knew that when I first met him. Now he’s pushing the bar a little bit. He needs somebody to slap him up or something. And I’m just the person to do it.”

Although Bobby is angry at Kanye West, it looks like he should be just as angry at his own sister because she’s also to blame for this situation.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
