Cardi B Faces Court Trial In Strip Club Assault Case As She Shows Off New Lip Ring
Cardi B came through drippin’ in court Friday.
The Grammy-Award winning singer strutted into Queens Criminal Court to reject a plea deal in her strip club assault case.
According to CBS New York, the mom-of-one will be headed to trial after deciding not to plea guilty to misdemeanor assault to the third degree.
She Will Be Heading To Court Next Month
By rejecting the deal, Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, had the option of no jail time and the dismissal of the case taken off the table, according to The Blast.
Looking like she was attending a fashion event, Cardi rocked up to court wearing a bold white Christian Siriano jumpsuit. The “I Like It” rapper showed off a brand new lip ring.
The style icon also flashed her long bright yellow fake nails and Yves Saint Laurent heels. She also appeared to be carrying an expensive Hermès Birkin bag. Her long raven hair was pulled back in a sleek ponytail.
Despite the threat of jail, Cardi posed on Instagram with her stylish outfit for her 43 million followers. She captioned the picture: “COURT FLOW.”
The 26-year-old is set to go back to court next month.
She Is Alleged To Have Organized An Attack
Cardi faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment after an alleged brawl in a Queens strip club. In August 2018, sisters Baddie Gi and Jade, claimed the rapper ordered an attack on them at Angel’s Strip Club.
The bartenders say the incident took place because Cardi believed one of them had an affair with her husband Offset. The sisters say that Cardi B’s entourage threw bottles, chairs, and hookahs at them in the club.
Cardi was allegedly caught on camera throwing an ice bucket at the women. The former Love & Hip Hop: New York star surrendered to police in October.
