Cat’s Outta The Bag: See Why Countess Vaughn Just BLASTED “TheParkers” Show!

Posted On : January 22, 2017

This year (2017) it will be 13 years since The Parkers came to an end after a 5-year run. The show’s stars, comedian/actress, Mo’Nique; and actress/singer, Countess Vaughn, used to have us rollin’ with their ghetto-fab’ momma-daughter duo, as “Nikki” and “Kim Parker.” Unfortunately, according to Countess those loads of laughs come with tons of anger and legal woes behind the scenes.

Ms. recently took to social media to blast whomever is running the show’s financial business affairs. The reason is because she said she’s tired of playing nice while they continue to treat her like a second hand store door mat when it comes to her money. Well, she didn’t word it quite like that, but that’s pretty much the picture she’s painting.

Basically Countess Vaughn says she owns a portion of the The Parker’s but has yet to see one shiny dime of the profits since 2004! In the words of “Kim Parker,” “Dang Mama!”

COUNTESS VAUGHN’S CLAIMS

@countessdvaughn: You gotta know your business😂l have tried to be quiet about this situation but a close mouth doesn’t get fed I own a part of the of The Parkers and I haven’t received anything yet#@#

After posting her Instagram message, hopefully Countess drove straight to a new entertainment attorney’s office- keyword being ‘new’ –because if she does, in fact, own “part of The Parkers,” as she says, then her current legal representation needs an overhaul ASAP, so Ms. Vaughn can get her paper. The Parkers show has been in syndication for years and counting, so those back payments -even if her ‘ownership’ is on the lowball end- could possibly still be a decent payout and compensation. Good luck Countess!

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
