Anything Is Possible

The Oscar winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter, has decided to celebrate Women’s History Month in a major way! She challenged several of our favorite entertainers like, Sheila E., Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Gabrielle Union, Tasha Smith, and others to have fun while showing the world when women unite anything is possible.

The Black Panther costume designer asked everyone to upload a video dancing and/or lip syncing to your favorite Women’s Empowerment Song. She kicked off the challenge posting a video of herself dancing to Beyonce’s “Who Run The World (Girls).”

Now Everyone is showing up and showing out. Carter said:

“Ladies! Let’s have some fun for the rest of #WomensHistoryMonth and show the world when women unite anything is possible,” she says in her clip. “I nominate @halleberry @gabunion @im.angelabassett @tasha4realsmith @lupitanyongo and @juneambrose to upload a video dancing and/or lip syncing to your favorite Women’s Empowerment Song. Use this same caption and nominate three women who inspire you to keep it going and don’t forget to use the hashtag #WomenDancingTogether 🎵 @beyonce.”

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
