Chris Brown’s Mom Claps Back At Fans Who Blasted His Shady Comment About Black Women
As soon as Hawkins posted her thoughts about Brown’s latest controversy to Instagram, people were quick to call her out for her support all over social media.

Some of Hawkins’ followers directly addressed her post on Instagram. One follower commented:
Can you please explain what your son meant by nice hair? We really would like to understand what he meant. Growing up I watched folks refer to the black kids mixed with a little something that had the smooth, loose curls as having “good hair,” while us black women with the kinky textures were considered to have “bad hair.” But we have since gone through a process of self love with the natural hair movement where we love all our kinks from the loosest curl to the tightest. It’s all good hair. So we’d love to understand what he meant by nice hair. That is all.
Hawkins has yet to reply to the user’s comment. Whether she intends to address it, or not, remains to be seen, however this debate will probably be raging on for quite a while.
