ILOSM fam,’ remember when Christopher Williams had us vibing to his 90’s hits, I’m Dreamin’ and Promises, Promises? It’s no surprise that the man is as musically talented as he is, because musical talent runs through his blood. He’s the nephew of the iconic jazz singer, Ella Fitzgerald. And of course we can’t forget about the time Christopher proved he had some acting skills, with his role in the classic 1991 film, New Jack City, as “Kareem Akbar” – the pretty boy brotha from the bank. The singer-songwriter is still performing and has taken on another exciting role in his life- he became a grandfather this year.

Did you know that Christopher Williams is a dad? In 1988, Williams had a son, Justin, who was born from a relationship with a stylist. It may surprise many, but he was also once in a relationship with actress, Stacey Dash. From their relationship, they had a son, Austin, who was born in 1991. Lastly, Williams has a daughter, Cierra Barnes-Williams, who was born in 1993 from a relationship with her mother, Heather Barnes.

While music is a love of Williams,’ he is very passionate about his children and grandchild. The R&B crooner recently took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of his granddaughter, Cori, for her 2 year old birthday on June 4, 2018. Cori is the daughter of Christopher’s daughter, Cierra. Williams’ Beautiful Daughter & Ex:

Just like little Cori, her mother, Cierra, is equally as beautiful. It’s unclear what Cierra does professionally, but she could easily be a model, which is not surprising, because her moms, Heather, is  still looking good.

Jokingly calling her mother her “evil twin,” Cierra captured video footage of her mother, Heather Barnes a while back. She also shared photos of her and her mother at her baby shower last year as they celebrated their “biggest blessing.”

Christopher Williams’ Love Life Past & Present

Not many of Williams’ relationships are public. From what we do know, Williams was in a relationship with Barnes after his relationship with Dash dissolved. Barnes currently resides in Atlanta, where she works as an art director. Word on the Old School curb is it that Christopher Williams is currently married to Natalie Macklin- both of whom were briefly featured on Real Housewives of Atlanta. However, there is no legal documentation that Williams and Macklin actually jumped the broom together.

Williams’ most notable relationship was with actress, Halle Berry. In the late ’80s or early ’90s, Christopher Williams was the boyfriend of the Oscar-winning actress. After Halle told interviewers that an abusive ex-boyfriend struck her so hard that she lost most of the hearing in her right ear, many people assumed that Williams was the unnamed ex-boyfriend. However, Halle wasn’t speaking of Christopher Williams, it was another man- whom many believe was also a well known actor. Despite the fact that Halle never stated Christopher’s name, he was reportedly still blackballed at one point in his career, after many people deemed him to be ‘the abuser.’

Years later, he spoke out and cleared his name publicly, but by then the industry had already moved on and found new ‘sex symbol’ singers to go after. Good news is, Christopher Williams has continued to make his presence known in the music scene and still performs across the country to this day.
