The Clark Sisters Has A Message for Kanye West, ‘We Own Those Rights’

Kanye West has been doing his weekly Sunday Service for a little while now and this Easter Sunday the service got bigger and better as Kanye brought the service to Coachella.

Sunday Service Background

Sunday Service is a weekly invitation only, event that was first announced in a tweet by Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian in January and open to all faiths, she says its “a healing experience to start off your week” there’s no mention of any actual sermon or scripture reading– it appears to only be a musical service.

Kim congratulated Kanye after his Coachella service by saying this:

Sunday Service was so special to experience here at Coachella especially for my first time here! Kanye started Sunday Service for healing for himself and his close family and friends. He had this vision of starting a church for few years and it was magical seeing everyone else get to experience it. I’m so proud of you babe for doing exactly whats in your heart. The choir and band work so hard and have so much fun! It’s so inspiring to watch. Thank you to everyone who woke up early to spend Easter Sunday with us. It’s a memory we will cherish forever.

The Music

At the service, you will hear music performed by a choir and band and Kanye himself directing, playing instruments and leading the choir. The music is Kanye’s old work and some other artist— however, when Kanye choose to play legendary Gospel artists The Clarks Sisters music without their permission the sisters were not too keen on that.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
