Janet Jackson is officially a mother! According to PEOPLE, the Grammy Award-winning singer, and her husband Wissam Al Mana, are now the proud parents of a baby boy named their son Eissa Al Manna.

Shortly after the baby was born, Janet Jackson’s representative released a statement confirming the child’s birth. The rep also confirmed the 50-year-old singer is doing just fine. “Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world,” the statement read. “Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”

A Long Time Coming:

The good news about the baby and Janet’s health follows months of concern about her condition. Back in September, Janet was reportedly facing pregnancy complications, reports E! News.

An insider shared details about her trying times during the pregnancy. But despite any complications, Janet and Wissam have been anxiously anticipating their little bundle of joy.

“Janet isn’t feeling that great. She has gained more weight than she anticipated. It hasn’t been the easiest pregnancy at all.” The source added, “She is excited to have her baby, and that’s the light at the end of this tunnel.” Additionally, Janet’s “husband, family and friends have been very helpful during her pregnancy.”
