Tyrese and his ex-wife Norma Gibson may be forced to co-parent their daughter, Shayla, but that doesn’t mean they’re the best of friends. In fact, the estranged pair don’t get along at all and they’ve been back and forth to court multiple times this summer. Now, they’re at it again and this time Tyrese is hoping to slice the amount he’s paying Norma in spousal and child support.

I Ain’t Got It:

According to The Blast, Tyrese has filed court documents revealing he’s not making nearly as much as he used to.  The latest drama began with Norma’s request for Tyrese to pay her divorce attorney’s fees. Now, Tyrese has responded to the request explaining why he just can’t foot the bill. When the famed singer/actor used to make an impressive $180,000 a month, he was able to the costs of his bills and the payments to Norma, but apparently, things are different now. It has been reported that Tyrese insists his income has dropped by nearly 75% – from $180,000 a month to $51,000 a month. Due to the overhead he currently has with his own monthly expenses, he claims he can’t tackle much more.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, Tyrese offered a detailed breakdown of his expenses and from the looks of it, he’s cuttin’ it dangerously close each month. So, things definitely aren’t goin’ well right now. Then to make matters worse, the singer claims there’s also very little money to fall back on because his savings has gone from $800,000 to $130,000.

“According to the docs, Tyrese says he’s dropping about nearly $114k each month for his mortgage, child care, groceries, utilities and $10k in child support payments to Norma,” TMZ writes. The big issue, however, is that Tyrese says he only makes $51,000 on average per month and that his savings account figure has seriously depleted in the last few months.

Throwin’ Shade and Pointin’ the Finger:

Despite the obvious financial issue Tyrese is facing, he’s blaming Norma for some of his problems. TMZ also reports that Tyrese claims Norma is partially the reason for his lack of income. By now, everyone knows all about the domestic violence and child abuse allegations Tyrese faced last year when Norma accused him of abusing their 10-year-old daughter.

At the time, Tyrese faced all kinds of backlash and legal issues having his custody rights revoked. Tyrese went through hell and back before the judge gave him permission to see his daughter again. Tyrese’s social media meltdown was a clear indicator of how he reacted to the allegations. Due to the infamous meltdown coupled and the allegations, Tyrese was labeled by many people as “unstable” and he believes it’s also impacted his career.

Since the string of negative reports, Tyrese claims it’s been hard to book any work which is why his cash flow is so low. “He’s also blaming Norma for his lack of income these days — saying the negative coverage he got last year when she accused him of domestic violence … has made it hard for him to book movie work,” the site continues. So, how is Tyrese still makin’ $50,000 a month? Well, he claims that money comes from “personal appearances, residual income, and music royalties,” reports The Blast. But despite the claims, the judge still has yet to rule.
