Janet Jackson took everyone by surprise over the weekend when reports surfaced about her split from her husband, Wissam Al Mana. Although the couple just welcomed their first child together, it looks like Janet’s ready to call it quits. Unfortunately, celebrity splits are quite common, but the details of their prenuptial agreement have turned lots of heads. But, despite how it all looks, Janet’s fans have her back.

For those who don’t know, Janet reportedly stands to gain a lot from the divorce based on their prenuptial agreement. Shortly after Janet’s split made headlines, TMZ reported details about an interesting clause in Janet’s divorce. If she remained married to the billionaire Qatari business magnate for five years, she’d walk away from the marriage with a staggering $500 million.
Ironically, Janet reportedly split from Al Mana just two months after their fifth wedding anniversary. The timing of her decision has fans wondering if she stayed in the marriage so long just to profit from her husband’s wealth. Needless to say, social media users wasted no time dragging the famed singer/actress.

The estranged couple has vowed to remain amicable and co-parent peacefully for the sake of their child. “They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart. It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London.”
