Eddie Murphy, His Mom & Ex Nicole Have Rare Reunion At Daughter’s Graduation
Eddie Murphy and Nicole Murphy made a very rare public appearance TOGETHER at their daughter, Zola’s, graduation and to our surprise, Eddie’s moms, Lilian, was there too! Remember when Eddie joked about his comical family gatherings with his dad and mom, Lilian, in “Delirious?” It’s damn near been that long since the world has last seen Ms. Lillian, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Anywho, the former Mr. and Mrs. Murphy’s baby, Zola Murphy, ain’t so little anymore. In fact, she’s an 18 year old young lady and is beautiful just like her momma! She’s even towering over her pops, but we’re not sure if that was just the result of her wearing heels that day or not. At any rate, it was a wonderful sight to see the original Murphy’s (no diss to Eddie’s new baby mama) “back in stride again,” like Frankie Beverly & Maze. Speaking of the Murphy daughters. We said it before and we’ll say it again…Eddie better get that shotgun ready, because ALL of his grown daughters are gorgeous!
On a side note, we really dug Eddie and Nicole as a happily married couple for 13 years (1993-2006), but unfortunately, things just didn’t work out between them. These days, Eddie has been enjoying his new love, Paige Butcher, and their precious mini-me daughter, 2 year old Izzy Murphy. Nicole Confirms If She Dated Drake, Nick Cannon..Admits She Doesn’t Like Older Men
In recent interviews, while promoting her new businesses, the very down to earth Nicole Murphy addressed several things. She spoke about dating younger men and addressed those persistent allegations that she dated Drake (31) and Nick Cannon (37)- both of whom have a history of crushin’ on older women.
Nicole on the stereotype that it’s okay for older men to date young women, but not the other way around:
“Oh I can’t stand that, I don’t like that. I don’t think that’s fair. Why do we have to be stuck with some old fart?!! LOL. Right? WHY? Why do I have to have something…broke down. Why can’t I have some nice young thang?” -via ‘Sway in the Morning’
Whether or not she’d date a non-wealthy man:
“I’d consider it, as long as he’s a good person, got a great personality, he has to make me laugh. […] It’s really on the person though…I wouldn’t shut him down just because he may not be financially on my level.” -via Sway in the Morning
On “The Wendy Williams Show,” Nicole also indirectly addressed rumors that she’s been kickin’ it with either Nick Cannon or Drake. When asked about Drake (31) attending her private 50th birthday party, Nicole hit us with the politically correct response
“I was surprised! Trust me! I gave him [Drake] a big hug we took pictures, and I went off and we were dancing.”
Nicole admitted that she and Mariah Carey’s ex, Nick Cannon (37), are cool, but here’s what she said when asked about dating him:
“No! Nick Cannon and I were only friends. Don’t believe those guys.”
She says she’s technically single because there is no ring on her finger, but she is dating…we just don’t know who. Message for Eddie: If this thing with Paige doesn’t work out, it’s never too late to see if a special someone wants her ol’ thang back…just sayin.’
