Fans Are Crackin’ Up After Odd Throwback Photo Of Kandi’s Old Side Hustle Job Surfaces

Posted On : July 14, 2017

Kandi Burruss has taken to the internet to join in on the chuckles about her throwback gig, which apparently has surfaced on social media. We all know that Kandi, along with her Xscape group members saw great success in the 90’s, but that didn’t stop her from getting her side hustle on.

Kandi’s Past Side Hustle

Y’all know Kandi is all about stackin’ her paper however she can get it. So in 1997, when the opportunity arose for her to be featured as one of the females you see on the $3.99 Optimum hair color boxes when you’re walking through your local drug store isle, Kandi jumped on it with the quickness. Most people never even realized Kandi was on the box back then, because she looked a lil’ different with that 1962 Supremes styled wig they had her rockin’…

But now that Kandi’s been back in the spotlight as a cast member on the successful, Real Housewives of Atlanta, and recently with her reunited Xscape group members, it was only a matter of time before a picture of Kandi’s Optimum box surfaced…

Fans’ Reactions

Fans have been spotting Kandi from time to time in the drug store isles and on beauty store shelves and find it pretty funny…

Kandi’s Taking It All In Stride

Check out what Kandi said about her hair color hustle below…

@kandi: #TBT when I modeled for #Optimum’s hair color box. That was 20yrs ago. Why is it that people still find this box in stores sometimes. What’s the expiration date on this picture??? 😂 Time for a new pic.

It’s good Kandi can take herself lightly and besides, at least she was getting paid for her gig. Today though, Drake’s “Started from the bottom now we’re here” can be Kandi’s new theme song, because she is a very successful business woman and the richest ‘housewife’ on RHOA. Get it Kandi!
