Her granny is none-other than Dionne Warwick! And of course the other famous relative is Whitney Houston, but guess what? There is possibly another famous singing family member in the making– Cheyenne Elliot. That’s Dionne’s granbaby’s name and she has been nurturing her singing career ever since she was a kid singing on stage with Dionne and her Dad (Dionne’s son), David Elliott. With more than 50 years in the music business, the Grammy-Award winning Dionne Warwick is sharing her grandbaby with the world.

 

Cheyenne released a new single “Let There Be Love,” featuring Dionne, in October and it’s available on itunes. She has another cut as well titled “Love Will Find A Way.”

Dionne isn’t slowing up either. “My Friends & Me” is Dionne Warwick’s collection of duets that revisit her classic recordings in her latest album. Many of her contemporaries pair with her like Gladys Knight and Olivia Newton John, but then her family joins in too, including her grandkids, her sons David and Damon Elliot (whom you may recall us doing a story on not too long ago. Damon is a multi-platinum music producer who’s worked with Beyonce,’ Christina Aguillera and more).

Over Dionne’s half-century career, she has earned 75 charted hit songs and sold over 100 million records. That’s a beautiful legacy and we just might be seeing the legacies of Dionne and her musical family- Cissy Houston, Whitney Houston, etc.- carried on further with this new generation.
