Good Lawd!!! See Which 90’s Singer THIS Body Belongs To!

mya bodymya8That bangin’ body belongs to 90’s singer, Mya and she’s definitely making 36 look like the new 20, which is inspiring, because just like the Old School saying goes: ‘Age ain’t nothin’ but a number!’

Now let us take you back for a second, remember when Mya had all the ladies singing “It’s All About Me?” Then she came back with her performance on the LaBelle’s remake of “Lady Marmalade,” which also featured Lil Kim, Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliot, and Pink; and with her hit, “Case Of The ex (Whatchu Gonna Do)” and Fallen (which is oe of my favorite Mya jams) She then made some more noise when she sang the hook on Jay-Z’s hit, “The Best of Me.”

After that, it just seemed like Mya fell off the face of the earth, with the exception of a few rumors that connected her to a few rappers throughout the early 2000’s. Word on the Old School curb is that Mya dated Master P’s younger brother, rapper Silk the Shocker, then she allegedly dated Jay-Z (pre-Beyonce’) and the last rumor was that she dated 50 cent, we don’t know if any of these are true, but the streets were definitely buzzin’ about it at the time.
As far as what she’s been up to lately, Mya released her new single, Welcome To My World,  October 10th, 2015. It’s from her upcoming album that she will be releasing on her own independent record label, Planet 9. You go Mya!

One Old School fun fact about Mya is that she is a trained dancer who has studied Tap, Ballet, Jazz, African dance. She also studied dance under the late, great Gregory Hines…who knew?

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
