On Sunday, May 16, 2021, Halle and her man, Van Hunt, had everybody and their momma’s talking. Why? Because the typically private actress has been opening up more within the past year, showing off her love. However, this go ’round Halle showed off a lil’ bit more than just her boo-thang…and explicitly spoke her mind while at it.

Rockin’ a bikini bottom and cropped T-shirt, while affectionately kissing Van outdoors somewhere, Halle captioned her pic with the following:

While that may be just another typical day for the likes of today’s younger transparent superstars, not so much for the 54 year old Oscars-Award-winning–record-setting Ms. Berry. So this was kinda like a big deal…for her.

Halle’s Graceful Shade-Infused Clap-Back At Hater

Now, of course Halle’s explicit pic and caption caught the attention of celebs and fans alike. Most were congratulatory, but some threw hella shade at Halle and her past failed track record in the love department.

And countless other fans and celebs weighed in with congratulatory emojis, messages, and what-not. Then came the ‘Negative Nancy’ commenter who caught Halle’s attention…

The commenter threw shade at Halle’s decision making when it comes to romance:

“I think you love him more than he loves you!”

Halle then issued a simple, yet poignant virtual chin-check in response to the commenter:

“Ummmm don’t think so…not this time ❤️.”

Those seven words were so short, but weighed so much. Not only did Halle let the commenter know — in so many words — to stay outta her love-life, but she ever so shadily alluded that her past relationships were with men who were not good for her, nor loved her the same way that she did they. Although, based on several of her famous exes (**coughs** David Justice, Christopher Williams, Eric Benet, etc.), they may have a somewhat different version of events with their ex-woman, Ms. Berry. Anywho, good to see Halle’s standing up for herself…and giving zero “f–ks” about what others think of her continuously budding romance with her man of approximately one year, Van Hunt.
