Nick Gordon

Ever since TV One’s Bobbi Kristina biopic (which was very tastefully done) aired recently, it’s become obvious that her ex-boyfriend, is trying his best to sway public opinion. He’s now done a new interview, where he’s blaming everyone else for Bobbi Kristina’s passing and also making some new allegations about the beloved Whitney Houston in his interview with Daily Mail.

He Was Treated “Like A “Prince”

For starters, Nick gave some pretty surprising revelations regarding how Bobbi Kristina took care of him when they were together.

Via Daily Mail: Emotionally and financially he [Nick Gordon] said he was treated, ‘like a prince,’ though today he claims that he definitely gave more than he got – a statement on which he will not elaborate. Family members have leveled the allegation that the shift of Gordon’s relationship with Bobbi Kristina from siblings to romantic partners was motivated by money.Throughout Houston’s life both he and Bobbi Kristina received a monthly allowance, which, after her mother’s death, Bobbi Kristina continued to pay to her then boyfriend.

Nick Says He’s Innocent

Although the Brown and Houston families both believe that Nick was using Bobbi Kristina for her multimillion dollar inheritane, he claims that’s a lie. He also claims the beloved Whitney Houston, is why he dated Bobbi.

Nick claimed that [Whitney] Houston wanted them to marry, telling them they should elope and that it was she who planted the seed of a relationship between them. He said: “Screw the money. I lost two people I loved. They could have the money; it’s not even about that. Don’t get me wrong, money’s nice but it definitely doesn’t buy you happiness. Maybe temporary happiness.”

How Whitney’s Death Affected Relationship With Bobbi Kristina

Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon

After Whitney died from an overdose in 2012, Nick said Bobbi Kristina’s grieving didn’t allow him to grieve ‘their’ mother, Whitney:

“Everything changed. She [Bobbi Kristina] would cry and you know throughout all those nights I felt I couldn’t do the same thing. So it was just all this built up emotion that I didn’t get out as I’m sitting here trying to be strong for this person.”

Nick Blames Bobbi Kristina’s Family

Nick also pointed fingers at Bobbi Kristina’s family, alluding that they should have been the ones to help her:

“If I had somebody tell me this would be a good thing for y’all to separate I would have tried that. But I just know it was really just us two. Everybody knew [what was going on]. All these family members… that love and cared for her…everybody knew what was going on and they did nothing.People saw her struggling and nobody did anything.’

‘Bobby Brown & His Family Using Me As A Pawn’

Then came the topic of Bobby Brown, who blames Nick for his daughter’s death. Nick clearly can’t stand him and he also blames thE family for using him as a “pawn”:

Addressing the fact that Bobby Brown has come out and pointed the finger of blame squarely at him, naming Gordon as his daughter’s killer, Gordon said: ‘You know, I don’t care. He’s wrong and he knows he’s wrong. I met the guy. His daughter told him how much she loves me, how much I love her. ‘You know what I was? I was a prince and then I became a pawn, somebody just to point the finger at. Now I won’t stand for it as long as I can fight it.’ ‘I wasn’t in it for the money. I would have married her without thinking about it. There wasn’t going to be any pre-nup.’

‘I Look Guilty, But I’m Not’

“I think in a case like ours you automatically look at the significant other. And that’s in every case. But then the fact that it’s Whitney Houston’s daughter amplifies it. You know if there was something concrete I think I’d be in cuffs.”

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
