Janet Damita Jo Jackson is staying true to her mission of dropping her baby weight before hitting the road again for her upcoming tour.

On January 3, 2017, Janet gave birth to her and her husband, Wissam Al Mana’s, baby boy, Eissa. Soon after that, Janet resurfaced in the public eye, announcing that she and Eissa separated and that she was pleasantly plumper after giving birth, understandably so.

Ms. ‘Pleasure Principle’ also vowed to kick off her tour again in Lafayette, LA.- which had previously been postponed indefinitely as Janet and Wissam tried to start a family.

A source close to Janet, revealed at that time, that she’d been putting in 15-16 hour rehearsals to perfect her show and drop some weight before her tour begins on September 7th (2017):

Via ETOnline: “It’s a grueling schedule but she is up to the task,” the source says. “She wants to blow the crowd away. She will be perfection like her brother, Michael. She’s all about the showmanship.” […] “She has lost more than 65 pounds and has her pre-baby body back and then some,” our source says. “It’s possible that she could lose another 10 pounds before the start of the tour.”

Where’s Baby Eissa?

Janet and son, Eissa, at Los Angeles airport

In case you were wondering where 7 month old Eissa’s been throughout his mommy’s demanding rehearsal preparations, he’s been right by her side every step of the way. Some weeks ago, Janet relocated back to the Los Angeles, CA from London, with Eissa, to prep for tour and allow Eissa to get to know his Jackson family members:

Via ETOnline: “She’s happy to be back in the states in L.A. where she learned about music and performing with her brothers, and it was important for her to give this experience to her son,” the source shares. “She wants baby Eissa to know her family.” […] “Eissa is an easy baby,” the source says. “He’ll be a great roadie!”

At 51 years young, Janet “Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty” is looking damn good…get it Janet!
