Known for being extremely private, Janet Jackson opened up to her fans in a video where she provided an update on her divorce as well as upcoming tour dates.

Janet Opens Up:

In an effort to “keep it real”, Janet decided to create a video to share with her fans about what’s really been going on in her life. Playfully, she addressed the elephant in the room by acknowledging that she has gained quite a bit of weight. Some in the background seems to agree with her and it seems like it’s her brother, Randy.

Janet tells ” Randy” to “shut up” and that “no one was talking” to him. While we can’t see who the person is, it’s only right to assume that the Randy that she’s referring to is her brother. Who else would be brave enough to call Janet “chubby” to her face but a sibling? Yet, it’s somehow refreshing that Janet seems so unfazed by the fact that she’s packed on some extra pounds. It’s so obvious that she loves her son. In the video, Janet shares how her son is beautiful and very healthy.

I have put on a few since having the baby, she said. Since I had my baby, but I thank God, I thank God for him, he’s so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby.

Her Marriage Is Ending: 

Straight with no chaser, Janet did not hold back that she is indeed separated from her husband. While she didn’t go into detail as to why she decided to divorce her husband, Janet did share that they are in court and proceeding with their divorce. There have been some speculation that Jackson might possibly reconcile with her estranged husband. However, after watching the video, it’s very clear that she’s moving forward.

“Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands.”

The Big Announcement: 

After acknowledging that she has bags under her eyes, a few extra pounds, and a pending divorce, Janet dropped another bombshell! She’s going back on tour! The new tour has a new name, State Of The World tour. Jackson assured her fans that the name of her tour is not connected to politics but to people. She’s all about relationships, people, and love. The State of the World tour will kick-off in September. Jackson is beyond excited and she can’t wait to see her fans!

I’m continuing my tour as I promised. I’m so excited you guys. So excited. I decided to change the name of the tour [to] ‘State of the World’ Tour. It’s not about politics. It’s about people, the world, relationships and just love. I want to thank you guys for your patience and all your support throughout the years. Thank you so much. In case you don’t remember, in the early stages of pregnancy, Jackson postponed her Unbreakable World Tour last fall due to her pregnancy. Many fans were worried that she wouldn’t hit the road at all but the Grammy award winning recording star assured her fans that she will deliver as promised!
