A while back we reported that legendary producer, Jimmy Jam, and retired NBA’er, Kevin Garnett, share a close bond that began nearly two decades ago, when Brandi Padillia-Garnett -the sister of Jimmy’s wife- began dating Kevin. Now that Kevin and his wife of 14 years are amid a bitter divorce, the family get-togethers probably ain’t the same for Jimmy Jam these days. Anywho, here’s the latest on their divorce war…
Wife Now Claims Pre-Nup Isn’t Valid…
Although Brandi initiated their divorce in 2018 -two years after Kevin retired from his 20 year NBA career- she is now apparently claiming that their pre-nup agreement is invalid. As a result, Kevin Garnett is now on a mission to protect as much of his $300 MILLION fortune as he possibly can.
Via The Blast: The former NBA star filed a request to bifurcate their divorce and set a trial to discuss enforcing the prenuptial agreement against his ex, Brandi Garnett.
Kevin explains there is a “dispute” between the two and Brandi now claims she signed the premarital agreement “under duress.” He wants a trial to decide on the enforceability of the agreement before the former couple get into divvying up their assets and setting guidelines on temporary support he may be forced to pay.
