After a car accident near the Las Vegas strip, Joe Jackson was taken to the hospital.

Here’s What Happened:

Law enforcement shared with TMZ  that Joe Jackson, Michael Jackosn’s father, was a passenger in a black Jaguar when it T-boned a red SUV. According to a witness, after the accident Joe Jackson walked into a Panda Express near the accident scene and he appeared to be in pain. Because he was complaining of chest pains, he was taken to the hospital. His assistant was the driver of the car.

Thankfully, the 88-year-old Jackson family patriarch is reportedly headed home and is ” safe and healthy”. After the accident, his team tweeted about the news, explaining that he was feeling well. “Mr. Jackson was in a minor car accident, but nothing happened to him,” he wrote. “Not a scratch and he is safe and healthy. #teamJackson” In addition, a photo of Mr. Jackson was shared to let all his followers know that he’s alive and well.

This isn’t the first time that the music manager and father of 1o was hospitalized. In fact, Joe Jackson found himself hospitalized in May of 2016. While he does look great for 88, in recent years he has as battled several health setbacks. In July 2015, he was rushed to the hospital in Brazil after suffering a stroke and heart arrhythmia while celebrating his birthday and was further treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center when he returned to Los Angeles. In addition, Joe Jackson also suffered a mild stroke in November 2012.

In his older age, Joe Jackson may have settled down as he appears to be taking care of his wife Katherine and his late son, Michael Jackson’s children. When Joe Jackson was in his prime, there were rumors that he had alleged affairs while on the road. Apparently, one of those affairs produced a love child, Jon’Vonnie Jackson, which bears a striking resemblance to Joe. Back in February, we learned that Jon’Vonnie was writing a memoir entitled, Bastard Child, which focused on her life and being alienated from the Jackson legacy. She allegedly chose that title of the book because Joe Jackson’s children allegedly referred to Jon’Vonnie by that name as they didn’t acknowledge her as their sister. Joh’Vonnie, born in 1974, claims she is the product of her mother, Cheryle Terrel’s 25-year affair with Joe. You can read more about that story here.

On Father’s Day, Joh’Vonnie posted a picture of her memoir on her Instagram page where she wished her alleged father, Joe Jackson, an Happy Father’s Day.
