As the saga continues in Empire star, Jussie Smollett’s, seemingly Milli Vanilli styled attack, in which he claimed two racist men attacked him on January 29th, yet another twist has arisen. Out of the many suspicious actions of Jussie and allegations against him for his reported staging of his attack, he may have discovered one loophole that could possibly get him to walk scot-free in his federal case. However, said loophole does NOT prove that he did not stage his attack. See what we mean below…

Jussie’s Text Message Seems To Back Claim That He Did Not Pay Fee Of $3500 For The Attack

Jussie and/or his legal team have now come forward with the same information that Nigerian brothers, Ola and Abel Osundairo (who are also Empire extras), told the grand jury- that the $3500 check he gave them days prior, was not for the staged attack. Though the brothers provided several other details to back up their claim, that Jussie staged the attack, they never stated the check was for the attack, but rather for personal training. Anywho, here’s what TMZ has reported:

Sources say Jussie had gained weight — he was 192 lbs and needed to lose 20 pounds for [his music video] shoot, and that’s why he hired Abel … whom he says he calls “Bon.” There are various texts starting from January 20 between Jussie and Bon. On January 28 — the day before the “attack” — Bon wrote, “I know you’re traveling today, make sure you get at least 45 mins of cardio.”

Another text on January 20 outlines a menu for the day, including chicken thigh, StarKist Tuna, Eggs and Smucker’s peanut butter. And, a text on January 25 reads, “This is the meal plan and the breakdown of macronutrients. Also includes projected fat loss.”

Jussie Hasn’t Provided Solid Evidence He Didn’t Stage Attack…But Here’s The Possible Loophole…

At this point, Jussie’s team seems to be scrambling -not to prove that he did NOT stage the attack- but to instead raise ‘reasonable doubt’ in court. As long as the defense can do that, he could walk…even if he did stage the attack.

Jussie’s team’s latest angle does not seem to be directed toward the brothers’ payment claims, because as we mentioned, Abel and Ola had already stated the same thing before Jussie did. Neither has Jussie’s team yet publicly provided any further info that disproves the many other claims made by the brothers, as well as the corroborating Chicago city cam footage, and phone records that seemingly back the brothers’ claims, that the attack was staged by Jussie.

Instead, the latest release of Jussie’s text messages, can possibly ‘raise doubt’ in court about what the Chicago Police Superintendent’s statement last week (above) – that Jussie paid the brothers $3500 to fake attack him in order to advance his career. Though that has yet to be proven in a court of law, the Superintendent appears to have based his claim off the timing and actions of Jussie and the brothers, before and after the reported fake attack; and off of the ongoing investigation into suspicions that Jussie may have mailed a fake hate letter (addressed to himself) to Fox Studios.

TMZ states that sources confirmed ‘the Police Superintendent’s pronouncement will become a defense weapon [for Jussie’s attorneys] if the case goes to trial.’

The court documents, from Jussie’s bond hearing last week, reveal that cops were suspicious of his story from the beginning. But it wasn’t until arresting and releasing Abel and Ola, that law enforcement publicly revealed their findings in the case. READ JUSSIE’S FULL COURT REPORT AND POLICE FINDINGS HERE.
