Kandi Burruss Speaks On Kenya’s Mysterious Hubby

Posted On : July 14, 2017

Kandi Burruss is a very busy woman these days. From the Real Housewives of Atlanta and Xscape, to her personal business ventures like Tags, Kandi Koated Entertainment, and the Old Lady Gang restaurant, Kandi is successful in ways many people could only imagine. During a recent interview with E! News, she dished about reuniting with Xscape and, of course, RHOA was also discussed. Needless to say, Kandi had quite a few things to say about the happenings in her life. She also shared her opinion of Kenya Moore’s wedding and her response was what most fans would expect.

Throwin’ Shade?:

With all the drama that went down on the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, it comes as no surprise that Kandi gave her take on the reunion again. But what was interesting, was her take on Kenya’s mysterious wedding. Like fans, Kandi learned of the wedding online and believed the ceremony was nothing more than a publicity stunt, according to Page Six. “Online!” Kandi said on Tuesday. “And I had to call her like ‘Yo! You’re married?’ Because I was thinking maybe it was fake. And then she’s like, ‘Yeah, I’m really married.’”

However, Kandi did admit that Kenya told her about Marc Daly last year:

“I have not met him personally, but she has talked to me about him since last year, towards the end of the year. So I knew she had met someone that she had really liked,” Burruss said.

Kenya Moore

When asked about Kenya’s future on the show, Kandi didn’t confirm any details about Kenya’s plans, but admitted reality TV isn’t something everyone can adjust to:

“I don’t know what he wants, but I’m confident that she’s afraid to jeopardize her relationship with what comes with the show, which I understand,” Burruss explained. “It’s a lot of tension. And for somebody that’s never been on TV, it’s a lot of pressure and it would have to be something for him to get used to. And not everyone is able to get used to it.”

But despite the RHOA drama, Kandi has had a great summer thus far. The Xscape reunion is a victory in itself. After all these years, Kandi has revealed the life lesson they’ve learned from the big split…

Reuniting With Xscape:

By now, most of us know Xscape showed up and showed OUT for their performance at the 2017 Essence Festival. During a panel discussion at the big event, Kandi explained the difference between the younger women of Xscape from the 90s, versus the business women they are today:

“When we started things off there was a lot we didn’t capitalize off of when we were younger, and we didn’t tour enough,” Kandi said. “So it was a lot of money that we missed out on.”

She added, “Even though we were very successful- we had three platinum albums, and multiple top 10 hits- for that type of success, I don’t feel like we walked away with the type of money that we should of. I feel like we should’ve been writing a lot more. It’s kind of crazy after Tiny and I, we did ‘No Scrubs’ and right after that, we separated, and whatever, and when I started seeing those checks, I was like ‘Man, this is money we’ve been missing out on all this time.'”

With the wisdom they have now, it’s probably safe to say they’ll be capitalizing on alot really soon.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
