For the past year, we’ve witnessed singer, Keke Wyatt, experience some incredible blessings and some horrific hurdles in her life. The birth of her and husband, Michael Jamar Ford’s, newborn was one her beautiful blessings. Sadly, we’ve also watched Keke go through one of the most helpless feelings any parent could ever experience- the extreme illness of her teen son, Rahjah, who is still currently battling cancer. As all of this was taking place, Keke was blindsided by divorce papers from Michael in 2017.

Although these battles have tested Keke and her family’s unit, she still has not forgotten that she and her fam’ have much to be grateful for.

Keke’s Touching Posts Of Gratitude

Now that the new year has come, Keke has been expressing her extreme gratitude on social media. For Keke, the most important factors in her life, are her children. In a series of Instagram posts, she took a moment to give thanks for her teen son, Rahjah, being fortunate enough to make it to 2018 and still fighting a great fight against cancer…

Then she shared a photo of Rahjah holding her newborn (whose face she’s showing for the first time), Kendall Miguel Ford, with a caption that read, “Mommy’s #2017 miracles!!! @rahjahke_ and Kendall Miguel… can’t believe he’s 8 weeks old and @rahjahke_ is 8 months into his Chemo already!!! Time really flies when ur living life!!!”

Keke’s Son Expresses His Gratitude & Fighter Spirit

Rahjah also posted a message about his exhaustion from the tough fight he’s fighting right now and he included a date of April 2020. So we’re not sure if that bared any significance as to how long he has to receive treatment, or if it had some other unknown meaning.

She’s A Warrior, Not Superwoman

Although Keke oftentimes looks like she’s ‘Superwoman’ on the outside- with the busy schedule and many hats she wears- she’s still human and has her moments of vulnerability. The beautiful thing about it though, is that as she watches her child go through this very difficult time, she’s doing what any loving mother would- being that pillar of strength for him and showing him what a true warrior looks like. From the looks of Rahjah’s 8 month cancer battle, his motehr’s warrior spirit has already been instilled in him.

Our continued prayers go up for Keke’s son. We can’t wait for the day to eventually report that he is cancer free and healthy. Thoughts become things, so we’ll go ahead and speak that into the universe now.
