In a Tuesday interview on The View talk show, Lamar detailed of what happened at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada, on the night that the NBA star almost died in 2015. Odom, who has always been very open about his past drug struggles, is adamant that he did not voluntarily take any drugs that night:

“Dennis Hoff…I don’t know what he had against me, but I didn’t do drugs that night. … I don’t know if he tried to poison me, or…”

When stunned The View co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, suggested that “maybe” his drug overdose was the result of “a Martini gone wrong,” Lamar confidently replied:

“Nah…he tried to kill me. …My lawyer has workers at the brothel that said he tried [to kill me]. … He almost succeeded though.”

The audience can be heard gasping in the background, as the co-hosts appeared to be shocked as hell by Lamar’s revelation.

Lamar said he’s speaking out about Dennis Hof now – against the wishes of his daughter, who wants him to “leave it alone”– because he says, “I want to clear my name.”
